Stupid prostrate pill ads

I'm beginning to think it wasn't the Uroxatrol that gave me the delayed ejaculation when I was taking it several months ago.  I've been off Cialis daily dose (5mg) since my UroLift procedure and have had adequately normal timing of my orgasms when I've had them.  Today because I wanted to get some measurement photos for my Urologist in advance of another procedure I will be getting next month, I took a Cialis 20mg to make sure I had the best blood-flow possible in that area.  All was great and my wife took advantage of the opportunity but then...  it happened again...  It took so long to reach climax that we both got tired of trying.  I ended up working solo to finish for at least an hour, maybe longer and now I'm sore because of it.
I think the Cialis may be to blame and based on your comment about making your "wanger" numb, that sounds plausible for sure.  No more Cialis for me unless I'm required to due to cardiovascular reasons (it's used for some CV issues as well).
All of the erectile stimulant drugs got discovered as an adverse effect of big pharma near continuous search for creating a compound to increase systemic blood flow ,it does that but is secondary that's why it was cleared for sale with that FDA Indication years after it was marketed for erectile difficulty , it's fantastic for penile blood flow and causing/enabling erections, big pharma has been cashing in on that adverse effect and only recently provided data to prove its safe and effective indication for cardio vascular issues ,so now 1 drug double indications the drug is a "cash cash".

I take Tamsulosin  because it allows the bladder to fully drain.

One problem at night with a enlarged prostrate is it does not fully drain and causes you to need to go more often.

What is it you think prostate pills do? I'm on one. It's goal: to make it easier for me to pee.

The pill was a shot in the dark with hopes it could dry up the underwear. It only made things much worse. It'd be nice to have a pill that opened the valve so that I could empty instead of having the nearly constant feeling of needing to pee. Another plus is that it be open in a totally random fashion and dump it all into my diaper before it closes again.

I'll say it again...  look into the UroLift procedure for BPH relief. It worked for me. My procedure was in 8/12/19 and I can pee like a racehorse now if I hold it long enough. Since I've been keeping myself drained as often as I can though, I've gotten a bit of lower capacity and urgency when over my capacity limit...  I knew what I was getting into when I started using diapers though.

Will that procedure "help" a rouge , weakened sphincter? It's been this way for almost 25 years. I've been told that the only way to fix it is to remove it and to replace it with something mechanical (i.e. a "full" catheter, whatever that is). After all, leaking is normal and at this point, desirable.

No, all the UroLift does is widen the urethra through the prostate so it doesn't restrict the flow through the prostate.  If you don't have an enlarged prostate pinching off the urethra, this probably will do nothing useful.  There are external solutions you can try - male incontinence "CLAMPS" for instance.  The one in the Amazon link I attached is only 39.99 with free shipping.

My take on the issue, and I haven't checked with a doctor because I currently don't have insurance.  I have had my prostate checked many times over the years.  I'm 60 years old, type 2 diabetic and for years have been getting up several times a night to pee.  I have taken Tamsulosin before, in the hospital to help me pass kidney stones and also at home.  My understanding at the time is it helps to dilate the ureter and possibly the uritha to help you empty your bladder more.

I'm at the point where I have a weak stream, start and stop while urinating several times and now and then I believe I'm done but have leaked a little in my underpants.  Once at work I even wet the front of my pants (thankfully they were very dark grey and I don't think anyone noticed).  Every time my prostate has been checked there has been no problem found, but on my next appointment I will tell my doctor.  I already mentioned last time how often I get up to pee and he had a concerned look on his face.

From what I have been reading in this post, my thoughts are the prostate medications are to help shrink the prostate a little to help the flow.  If that is the case, it could make it better for people to empty their bladder easier, however if you are incontinent and your sphincter doesn't work, I can see where it might make things worse.  Instead of peeing smaller streams longer, you might pee more at one time.  Your prostate has shrunk just enough to allow for better flow, but that better flow could mean more in your diaper all at once if you are incontinent.  Bottom line is I think prostate medication isn't necessarily to help with incontinence as much as it is to help with better flow and emptying your bladder more completely at each voiding.  It might help make sure your bladder is empty so you don't think your finished and then end up leaking some more in your underwear, but if your sphincter doesn't work as it is, I can't see where it will help with that type of incontinence.

Rusty your spot on Tamulosin shrinks prostate size and relaxes bladder neck .it is specificaly designed to increase urinary stream .the only way it helps with incontinence is if your enlarged prostate is occluding your urethra (common) or youare unable to fully empty your bladder due to bladder neck (less common)
Some fools are blessed by both like me ,i never fully empty unless I do it with catheter .
