Those who have trouble controlling your bowels, how often do you mess yourself?

Do you try to hold it at all, or do you just go in your diaper/underwear? When you do try to hold it, do you try to make it to a toilet or just for a more convenient time to mess?

I have IBS and usually deal with almost constant constipation.  I usually have a bowel movement once or twice a week.  On occasion it can be even longer than that.  Sometimes it gets so bad either i or my wife will give me an enema to help give me some relief.  I prefer to void in the toilet as I hate being in a dirty diaper.  

Now all that being said I have on very rare occasions had accidents in my diaper.  Sudden diarrhea or ill squat down and it’ll all come rushing out.  When something like that happens I’m glad I’m in a diaper.

I wish I had a choice in the matter because it is really embarrassing when I poop myself in public, but I have absolutely no say as far as when I am going to poop or pee. It all comes out whenever it wants to.

When my condition hits me, I'd be extremely lucky to get to a toilet.  I'd be lucky to have a diaper on.

Normally, I can make it, even if it's a fifteen minute wait to poop. Not today. I got the urge while I was in the middle of a change. Suddenly, I needed to have another change. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

If you haven't already, SEE A DOCTOR OR SPECIALIST!  It's not normal for an otherwise healthy 23 year old to start pooping their pants.  Do you want to take a chance that you have colon or bowel cancer that is spreading and could cost you your life?

YOu might want to change your age on your profile to reflect your true age.  When I have my birthday I will change it if need be as well.  Though I believe it is automatic.

New here, I have IBS-D and get sudden unexpected bouts of diarrhea semi-regularly. It used to be a couple times a month, but it's recently increased to a couple times a week. Twice yesterday, once the day before, and almost once today. Mostly they're small patches that would leave wet brown marks in my underwear (back when I wore underwear; I'm 24/7 now) but a few have been total blowouts that wrecked my pants and necessitated my stripping in the shower.

Do you find that you're more okay with having messy accidents because you're wearing, or do you still try just as hard to find a toilet? 

I find that if I'm having a period where I have a lot of smears, I'll wear a pull-up and still try to get to a toilet.

When I changed my age to reflect my real age I was on my computer.

I have OAB & Urge Incon and my protection level depends on where I am and what I’m doing. I don’t really mind because it’s easy to deal with for the most part.

Because I’m transgender and have never had the bottom surgery I have been on high dose estradiol for about 30 years now. One side effect of hormones is very loose bowels. This didn’t used to be an issue but as I age my anal sphincter is so loose that it is becoming an issue. I will sometimes sneeze and have some escape and leave a messy skid mark on whatever I happen to be wearing. If it’s a clean diaper I have to change it right out. If I’m wearing reusable incon panties It’s even more of a problem because I can’t just dispose them due to the cost. I don’t mind the bladder incon but this back door issue truly sucks.

LOL thats a loaded question i have IBS-d so depends on what i eat i can mess 2 times a day to 20 times a day i eat something like real Mayo or beacon by body doesn't breakdown fat very well

I have been urinary incontinent for about 7 years now.  I have developed diabetes over that time,  in the past year I started having accidents more often,  now I am bowel incontinent for the past 6 months. I usually have about 1 accident a day, sometimes 2.   I try to not let it slow me  down, and  what I do. I have had some full blown accidents in public, but I usually able to get to a bathroom to clean up (always have a backpack/diaper bag with me). Or my wife will change me in the car.
