Joep
This year I’m planning on spending $100 a bulk order of MegaMax and a case of rearz lil monsters or crinklz aquanauts. How much do you spend? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment
DailyDi
I'm self employed, so no return for me, I always owe. I spend probably $80 a month on diapers, but I get more than that due to a sponsorship deal I have; and I keep it reasonable by mixing in the cloth training pants I sell on biggerdiapers. Spanky
Not too much. I wear them occasionally, so I'll just order a few packs when I need them. Maybe I'll finally try some ABU Little Pawz. Definitely more MegaMax and Crinklz diapers. Link to comment
dyperbole
Very little. I try not to give the government a loan so I tend to manage my estimated tax payments so I get as close to zero back and zero owed as possible. Link to comment

drynot
Nothing. Not one dime. I reinvest my tax return in order to fund a healthy retirement. I hope to retire early. 1 Link to comment
technomonkey
None got to pay in. Wife owns a Solon the business taxes are done once a year vs quarterly. but my doc give me scripts for my diapers so i can write them off as medical. Link to comment
Smash-N-Dash
Zero. I’ve got a good stock as it is at the moment, and there’s more important things my tax refund needs to go towards. 1 Link to comment
fillemup
Unfortunately, I am going to have to pay more taxes this year. I currently have a stash of around 1600 diapers so I am not in desperate need of any more for a while. Link to comment
Dubious
No tax return, but gonna spend $2-300 on diapers in February Link to comment
dlnoir
Fortunately I do not have to wait for my tax returns to buy diapers. Whenever I need some I simply buy them. The only time I’ll have to do some serious spending is usually when I find some retro style plastic pants and I simply have to buy them. If it comes to old school plastic pants or cloth diapers for that matter I have little or no limitations. Link to comment
dlinmsp
I wear 24/7. I use 2 ATNs and 2 Huggies size 6 baby diapers per day at a cost of about $93/month. Like @dlnoir I buy as I need. I also use plastic pants with my disposables so there is some additional cost per year. I get my ATNs from Diaper Buys and my plastic pants from Mountain View, both have fantastic pricing. rusty pins
I can't say. Tax return or not, when I decide to buy some diapers, I buy them as long as I have money to do so. I get most of my diapers at Goodwill and thrift stores and while they are not premium brands, they do well enough for me since I usually wear only 2 days a week for just a few hours. I did treat myself to a package of Betterdry diapers late November but I had enough money or I wouldn't have bought them. If I get any tax refund I will use it for regular things I may need, bank it or maybe treat myself to $20 at the casino. If I decide to buy diapers, it won't be because of the tax refund and I would use my money weather it's regular salary of part might be from a tax return. Link to comment
Nat
I don't use my tax return money on diapers, I spend just under $100 a month on diapers, sometimes more. Depending on what brand I buy. I stick with a good brand like Dry 24/7 or Better Dry, Northshore Supreme, Tena Slip Maxi Active. Link to comment
le Hollandais
I don't know what kind of a refund I'll get this year....if any. Some years I zero out; no refund, nothing to owe. This year, I may spend up to $30.00 or so on diapers. Doesn't seem like much, I know. But then, if one wears cloth exclusively, a small stock will be all one needs. Link to comment

How you pull that off My regular income is predictable, so I have a good idea on what to set my withholding level to. This year may be a bit off due to the new tax rates, but at first glance I'm in the ballpark again. Towards the end of the year my non-IRA mutual funds reinvest capital gains. I do a quick estimate of our taxes with this added income, and then send the IRS money to cover what I estimate I owe for quarter 4. Generally speaking, I come within $100. Link to comment
Bettypooh
The self-employed rarely get a refund, the opposite is the usual. My accountant is rabid about her business, keeping up to the minute on every rule, and she directs me on how to operate so that I usually balance out or very close to that. This year I was warned that I'd be paying and that it might be a considerable amount because of new rules and that they hadn't been clearly delineated at that point. It wasn't as bad as I expected but I did have to pay, so no refund. And since the onset of Obamacare I can no longer deduct medical expenses like I used to, so the last few years haven't been easy at tax-time. Once I get on Medicare in a few years I'll have more ability to recover my diapering expenses as I'll keep working within the limits to allow that to happen. Hopefully I'll get Medicare to cover some of the costs too, but normally that doesn't often happen so I don't really expect it but I'm going to try anyway. Bettypooh Link to comment
AbabeBill
Is this a new option on the tax forms? I know, there has always been the one, where it asks, “would you like to have $1 dollar, go toward presidential campaign funds”? Is there now an option, where funds can go toward diapers? LOL, I like that one! Many happy returns folks! Link to comment
WBxx
I try to owe the maximum at tax time that doesn’t subject me to an underpayment penalty. https://www.fool.com/retirement/2017/03/24/heres-how-to-avoid-an-irs-underpayment-penalty.aspx Link to comment
Octavian
I don't get tax returns anymore. I'm very diligent with my calculations to ensure I pay only enough each paycheck so I can avoid giving Uncle Sam what is essentially an interest free loan. Link to comment
Dubious
In Norway its a good idea to pay more tax as the interest on the money is higher than in the bank Link to comment

WetDad
If I've done my taxes right, I get no money back. Plus, diapers are a life's essential, not a reward. Link to comment
diapernh
Well i had a unique situation that I had to take care of. See I am leaving my job at the end of the month... I took a voluntary separation, so I will be paid through the end of the year and have my insurance till then too. I have always put about $1250 in my flexible Spending account for medical expenses.... I use those funds to buy diapers throughout the year too.... Well since I am leaving at the end of march, I found out that the full amount of my FSA has already been funded and if fully used before then would NOT require repayment... So I bought 6 cases of diapers and stuffers, whic was about $650, then I refilled all my meds, and got new glasses for cash price (saving the vision insurance for later in the year).... I have spent it all. Oh and my tax return popped into the bank account this morning. Link to comment
fillemup
I am going to owe the government money this year. Maybe I should pay them with diapers from my stash. Of course, I would pay them with my used diapers. Link to comment
