Tumblr got nuked, by Tumblr

I did hear that they were taking down NSFW blogs but that is nothing different from usual. Tumblr has a very uneasy relationship with them and it's clear they are only tolerated because they bring so much traffic to their site. I'm finding that many, many NSFW pages remain, in fact I've only noticed a few links leading to taken down pages at the moment.

did a quick, but not very in depth look at the pages i have saved/favorited on chrome. so far the only possible casualty of this sweep has been diapertrainingashley. her page went offline some point last night. i thought she might have gotten doxxed or roxxed or whatever the term is for found out/hacked and exposed, like what happened to littlelolikat. but now it may be related to this thing going on.

tumblr's relationship with nsfw pages has been shaky at best for years. dozens of the pages i've visited over the last year or so had posts voicing their opinions and how much they didn't like whatever new regulations the platform was pressing into action at the time, and how to let their and other voices be heard.

They removed all hashtags that could be related to NSFW + more, like searching for "cute girls" ends up with no nude girls

Most Blogs are still on the site, but they mostly not searchable in Tumblr, but we can use Google.. so they just moved the problem

Tumblr is ending support for adult content. Shouldn't affect us as we don't show nudity http://dailydiapers.tumblr.com

yea but they may see anything that sounds like a fetish adult content. ABDL might not be so adult but Tumblr might see differently.

As I called it before. They want their revenue back so thinking that removing all adult content will solve it but they gunna get a very rude awaking with reality.

They gunna tumblring away...

Many ABDL blogs have been tagged even though they don't show nudity

Apparently showing adult diaper is NSFW

There was a picture of me in a diaper that got flagged. No nudity. That's when I knew it was time to leave.

Unfortunately, Tumblr is a victim of too many bad apples spoiling the whole barrel. What most people don't realize is the reason the App Store and Play Store block porn related content is due to rampant fraud. They aren't trying to dictate morality - if the industry is profitable, they will allow it.

As an adult content producer myself, I have to pay $2,000 a year in "high risk processing" fees because the adult industry has the highest chargeback rates across the spectrum. And it comes from both sides. There are server farms in Russia and China that focus on defrauding consumers with bullshit porn platforms. On the other side, there are a lot of consumers that try to chargeback payments to porn sites for any number of reasons - regret, their spouse found the charge, etc. To put it in perspective, average chargeback rate overall is about 0.01% - but in the adult industry it's 0.54%. That's a huge difference.

That being said, Tumblr screwed up by allowing their platform to become a haven for porn without adequately supervising it. Too much fraud and CP has ended their reign. Plans to remove adult content have been in works for many months before they were removed from the App Store, due to those issues. They were just too slow. Being removed from the App Store is a huge issue though. Last I checked, 70% of internet traffic came from phones, so having your app blocked is essentially a death sentence.

A friend got me started at looking at Tumblr two or three years ago. Then it seemed not much later that a lot of the erotic content started getting deleted. I guess the concern for the site admins was or is porn. Im never sure whether some adult fetish or lifestyle stuff like diapers or wetting is porn when no nudity or sex is involved. Its a tough call sometimes so I guess they chosed to take the safest way out. But it seems to me theres fewer sites all the time for erotic or fetish interests and especially fewer free sites that are useful to people like me who dont have much money.

The Tumblr "purge" made me really look at my blog on that site. What I found was that although I presented my blog as really soft (what I mean by soft is no nudity, no BDSM, not sexually fetish) a large amount of my followers were ones that were into those things. I don't have a problem if those are the things that one is into but I desided that I didn't wanted to be a part of that. That is why I deleted my Tumbrl account. I wish for a site, other than DD, to share myself with others that aren't so fetish based. For me this isn't a fetish. Being an AB is who I am, not a roll I play.

part of the problem right now too is the fact they changed their user agreement to say no adult content on the site but don't describe it. And posts that aren't nsfw were flagged and torn down on 17th. Like my blog and no nsfw content and I got a notice and a bunch of posts are gone. Also a lot of artists were getting flagged for stuff that was not nsfw and just left the platform.
