CandaK Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 So, I'm writing again. I reloaded all of my playlists, got together a bunch of new music, and am writing as much as possible where I am while trying to find a job. I normally listen to synthwave, electrowave, retrowave, just a lot of very synth-centric music that has very little, if any, vocals while I am writing, as well as some good instrumental metal if I have a lot of energy. That being the case, I also do some drawing. Not a lot, it's mostly for helping friends or assisting my fiancee with small ideas, but I love listening to a lot of podcasts while I do that, as well as Game Grumps videos. It relaxes me when I can do that together. What do you listen to when you write/draw/make art?
Little Crusader Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 Game ost's, normally instrumentals or very specific tracks with lyrics. Games are often designed to have soundtracks meant to help you focus rather than distract you, so these tend to be great to sit down and write to or work on art.
CandaK Posted November 8, 2018 Author Posted November 8, 2018 Interesting. I have noticed that, sometimes, that helps. Depends on the soundtrack for me. I can do stuff like Castlevania very well while I'm writing, but games like God of War don't really do it for me. Maybe it's just me though
Little Crusader Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 I prefer to write to binding of issac, and binding of Issac anti-birth. Art can really be anything though I have a preference for zelda soundtracks or doom.
