“ aurora laughed.” That sounds like a plan.” She said as they walked through the moonlit park

James took off his jacket and put it around her to keep her warm as they enjoyed a look of the city. He was a bit nervous but smiled down at her wanting to give her a kiss but not wanting to be too forward either

Aurora was enjoying herself on the walk and they stopped at a bridge over a pond and looked out.” It’s so beautiful .” She said watching the moon reflect Off the water

“Yea it’s so peaceful out here, seems to make everything else’s around just start to slow down” he knew this was the perfect moment as she leaned against him and he went in for a kiss

Aurora saw him leaning in and smiled as she kissed him back enjoying the moment

James couldn’t get the grin off his face as there lips met as it really had been the perfect night. After a minute they pulled away him blushing a little

Aurora giggled seeing him blush.” Thanks for tonight james.” She said

“Thanks for coming with me. As much as I don’t want this night to end we should probably get back “ as he walked with her hand in hand and drove them back to her apartment.

Emma was working on getting the kids to sleep as Liam was fast asleep in his crib both Tommy and Hailey in there pjs but unable to sleep missing there mommy and daddy too much unable to sleep without them

“ yeah your right let’s go.” She said as they got in and headed back

Liam was fast asleep in the other room but Chris and Hailey were on the couch in the living room watching cartoons. Both in onsie jammies sipping bottles neither wanting to fall asleep till mommy or daddy was there. James and aurora walk in and Emma looks at the door “hey guys look who’s here”

hailey and chris turn around and smile 

“hi daddy!”

chris smiles big “mommy mommy!!”

Aurora lifted up Chris.” Hey honey you know it’s passed your bed time.” She said kissing him gently.

Chris snuggled into her as he was the bigger mommas boy of the twins. “No sweep I mwiss u” 

james picked up Hailey “same for you missy but did you have a good time?” As he picked her up and she gently nodded “we pway awot” as she let out a long yawn

“ your lucky that’s a super cute excuse now let’s go it’s time for bed.” She said.” We’re theh good sis.” She asked emma

“Yea they actually got along really well although we may need show James a few pointers on how to do hair or she’ll be a baseball cap to her prom one day” 

James blushed a little “yea I could use some pointers on that” he rubbed Haileys back as she was resting against him “I can’t thank you enough for watching her...” he tuned to Aurora “and I had a really good time tonight, hopefully see you again soon?”

Chris was fighting that immenent sleep as he layed agaisnt aurora and his breathing got heavier along with his eyes

Aurora laughed as she rocked Chris gently.” I enjoyed tonight as well. If you want to setup a play date for the kids or another date you ha want number.” She said

James smiled and agreed before saying goodnight and leaving with a sleepy Hailey.

emma bursting at the seems to hear all about the date. Chris at this point fast asleep but holding on tight to mommy

Aurora put Chris in his crib and came back and sat down on the couch and told Emma about the date

Emma listened as she heard about the dinner, the walk and the kiss “aww sounds like an amazing night and I think you both really need each other and the kids are great together. You better see him again” as they recapped.

Liam was having a bad dream and could be heard on the baby monitor whimpering and tossing and turning a little in his crib

Aurora laughed and nodded.” Yeah it wa really a good night.” She said before she heard Liam on the monitor and went to him. She rubbed his back gently and hummed a lullaby hoping to calm him down

He stopped crying but slowly woke up a little his eyes fluttering a bit and smiled seeing mommy there and yawned again “momi?”

“ hey baby.” She said lifting him into her arms

He nuzzled into her “dweam swary mama” as he sucked his thumb, he knew he wasn’t supposed to but it always helped calm him down

“ it’s ok little one I’m here.” She said rocking him gently

He stayed close to her and eventually fell back to sleep. 

Emma left as well since she had class in the morning.

james couldn’t stop thinking about his date and how he had a good time. He gets home and tucks Hailey to sleep
