Single parents (private with baby frost)

Christopher and Liam were running around and playing and Chris came over to say hi to Hailey. James smiled and thanked Emma for watching her and gave his number if she needed anything and talked to Hailey “ok I’m only going to be gone for a little but ok but you have 2 new friends to play with ok” giving her a hug and a kiss

Hailey kissed the boys goodbye.” Now you two be a good and be nice to your new friend ok.” She said

James started to leave but Hailey ran back over “nooo...daddy You pway too pease” as James sighed and picked her up “I won’t be gone long and you are going to have look at all the fun stuff they have here” mourning sorry to aurora as he tryed to settle her down

Aurora was fine knowing it was probably hard for the girl to be without her daddy.

James sat on the floor with Hailey  knowing he needed to go soon to make the reservation he made but Hailey more important. He waited till she was immersed with a toy and her show before quietly getting up and leaving with aurora as they left and went to his car “I’m really sorry...I guess leaving was a bit harder than I imagined”

“ oh it’s no problem. I know how it is.” She said as they headed to the car.

James drove them to dinner. He took her to a nice restaurant that has a view of the city. He sat down with her as they began to talk and get to know each other

“ this place is amazing the view is quite nice.” Aurora said before taking a sip of her drink as they looked over the menu.

[Baby_James]

“Yea I figured we both needed a nice night out as regular people not as parents” Although it was taking everything in James to not check his phone he was enjoying his night with aurora and getting to know her as they ordered food and drinks

Aurora could see James was a bit nervous.” It’s ok to check your phone but I’m sure they’re fine with Emma.” She said smiling.” I know it’s hard being away from your baby.”

[Baby_James]

He blushed a bit “no it’s fine and I’m sure Emma is great with her just this whole single parent thing is different than I imagined... here you hold onto it so I’m not tempted” as he handed aurora his phone

“ oh no it’s fine really. It’s not like we’ve known each other for awhile. If you want to check up on her it’s ok really.” She said.”

[Baby_James]

James smiled and said thanks and called Emma to check in and make sure Hailey was fine. When she answered it was clear there was laughter between the 3kids as she said they are fine and to go back to the date. James thanks her before looking back up at aurora “thanks for that sorry...good thing is it sounds like Hailey really gets along with your kids and she’s usually pretty shy”

“ its no problem. I’m glad she’s opening up and having fun.” Aurora said as their food arrived.” Oh this looks amazing.” She said

James smiled and began to eat dinner the food amazing as he began to ask and get to know her “so I think we’ve talked the whole night about our kids tell me about you. What are you studying?”

[baby frost]

“ well i was studying for child devolopment and psychology but the. I got pregnant and here i am.” She said .” What about you.”

[Baby_James]

“That explains how you are so great with kids than. I was in school studying law but than my now ex got pregnant with Hailey and we tryed to make it work but it became clear she had other priorities so I got full custody and moved here for a fresh start”

“ oh well I’m glad you got Hailey she’s clearly attached to you so you have to be doing a good job.”

[Baby_James]

“Thanks. Liam and chris are pretty well behaved too and it’s good that they can all be friends. You know if you did want to get back into school and study I could help with the twins” 

[baby frost]

“ you sure 3 kids is a lot for one person to handle. Plus that’s quite a few diapers.” She said laughing before taking a bite of her dinner

“Lol I’m sure I could handle it for a little but I don’t know how long though. Hailey goes through quite a bit she’s given me a lot of practice fast” James joked and continues to eat

Aurora smiled and ate a bit more of her meal” I’m glad we did this.” She said

[Baby_James]

“Yes i am too”  James smiled as he finished his meal and paid the tab “thanks for going out with me tonight and for helping me yesterday” as they walked out together and made there way back auroras apartment

“ it’s no problem really. I enjoyed tonight” She said smiling as they made their exit

[Baby_James]

“Well if Hailey hasn’t scared away Emma tonight maybe we can do this again soon just the 2 of us.” He held hands with her as they went for a light after dinner walk
