I need some advice on a problem i've been having, everytime i wet the bed my pee leaks out of the waistband and i'm getting tired of haveing to wash bed pads multiple times a week, is there any way to stop this besides buying expensive diapers? Btw the ones i've tried so far are walgreens brand, molicare super plus, tranquility premium overnight pull ons, and seni super plus. Any help or advice is greaty appreciated, thank you.

I always use a quality booster that is the same size as the diaper. I also make sure the diaper is a high back one. I use a bloomer style PUL covering that I cuff the leg area and pulls up to almost my chest. Even then I've had leaks but not on the bed. What I use seems to contain everything pretty well. I also use ConfiDry diapers. I'm not sure the cheaper diapers can do everything you need if you are a heavy wetter/messer.

Really, the best answer is better diapers.  I find that boosters only multiply the risk and severity of leaks.

I use BetterDry most nights, they cost me about £1 each and I probably leak less than 5 times a year.  I know they are more expensive in the USA, but when you add the cost of boosters and the time and expense of washing your bed pad, it might be worth it.

It could also be your sleeping position.  Do you sleep on your stomach?

I too strongly recommend Betterdry diapers they are very absorbant and I have had fewer leaks then the dry 24/7’s as I sleep on my side and the Betterdry diapers absorb way faster then other diapers. I wear the. 24/7 as I can trust the diapers to do thier job (but I have still had a few leaks but few and far between)

Pretty much every disposable diaper that I have tried has leaked one way or another. When I do wear disposables to bed I will wear a pair of terrycloth shorts over the diaper covered with plastic pants or bloomers. The terrycloth shorts will wick up most leaks. I have also doubled up with two disposables. I cut slits or use a perforating tool to put holes in the plastic backing of the inside diaper so that when it gets saturated the urine will be soaked into the outer diaper.

I seldom wear disposables to bed. I wear doubled up cloth prefold diapers and plastic pants every night when I am at home. Very seldom do I have a leak and if I do it is usually not much more than a damp elastic. With the doubled heavy cloth diapers I can easily sleep for 8 to 10 hours without changing or leaking. When I first lost control of my bladder I wore disposables every night and would need to change once or twice every night. Switching to cloth helped me get a better night's sleep.

i agree with everyone else.. better diapers.. with a side note.   its best to not completely flood your diapers.. I am incontinent and pee comes out slowly over time.. diapers aren't really designed to handle a total full on wetting.. the sap needs time to absorb the pee. so slow down a bit.. let a little bit out at a time. My go to diapers ( or n this case ) my go in diapers, are dry 24/7s with an abena abrilet maxi double.  I hardly ever leak at night and I sleep on my tummy. :baby-waving-bye-bye-smiley-emoticon:

My suggestion, is pretty much the same as Soggy Bottom Boy’s. Find some adult size training pants. An absorbing inside panty, covered with plastic. Wear these over your regular diaper. The inside cloth pants should help catch any leaks, and the plastic outer pants, will help hold it in. You can see some types here, http://www.fetware.com/cloud-flannel-lined-plastic-pants-p-40.html

There are others, but you get the picture.
