They both look exhausted and after all of that crying so did Mary. In the midst of the crying she wet herself so she has on a saggy diaper that's poking from her dress. Paige sits back and takes a breath "ok so maybe she needs to wear bonnets and ear muffs more. She needs to be taken to doctors to make sure there's no permanent damage to her or anything "

"Yeah I think that might be best the last time I took her out I gave her a hat that was too big for her and as a result it kept falling off her, so maybe that would be a good idea or maybe some special sunglasses would be good as well as some earmuffs like you suggested.

Paige nods in agreement "well if she wears a bonnett it will be much more comfortable and much harder for her to take off since it will be tied to her." She suggests then grins "plus it'll look super cute on her"

"Okay, yeah I think I might've bought one when I went and bought her baby stuff, but as far as the earmuffs go,  idk what will fit her, what won't fit her." He said as he looked at Paige and then started to hear a little bit of whining from Mary and wondered what was wrong.

Mary whined a little and struggled getting in q comfortable position in daddy's arms Paige inquires "she's probably sleepy after all that crying and she may need to be changed"

"Yeah she may have to be, but I want her to get used to you, there should be some changing supplies in the bathroom upstairs, which would be the first door on the left that's adjacent to Mary's room." He said as he looked at her.

She nods and Paige heads off to get the supplies. While she is gone Mary pulls at da-da's shirt.making whiney baby noises "da-da da-da" she whines for him tiredly.

"Whats wrong Mary? Is this baby girl tired?" He said

She nods and lays on him and clings to him tightly as they wait on Paige.

"Okay sweetheart Paige will get what you need and then she will change you." He said as he waited.

Meanwhile Paige was busy getting the changing supplies that he had told her where they were and once she found them, she returned to Mary and brought out another cookie and tried to get her away from Gram.

Mary had such a hold on daddy that she just didn't want to let go of but she did turn to Paige who was holding up the cookie. The first one was very yummy and she wouldn't mind another one at all so she reaches for it with one hand while the other stays on Gram

"Ill give you a cookie after you get a change. But you have to let me change you." She said as she tried to compromise woth Mary.

Mary pouted but  crawled over and layed in Paige's lap and reached up "Cuhie! Gabby cuhie" she babbles eyes dead set on that cookie.

"After I get you changed, the cookie will still be here okay?" She said as she laid her down on the mat and started to change the little girl into a fresh diaper.

Mary starts softly crying as the cookie was placed away from her and softly cries. She isn't hollering this time because she is tired qnd needs to be put down for another nap. Other than the crying she isn't really even bad during the diaper change. She probably wants the soggy diaper off just as much as she wants that cookie.

Once she is done, she hands Mary the cookie and then brings her up to where she saw her room and then puts the sweet little girl down for a nap and comes back to sit down with Gram "Yeah she is a mess, but seeing her reactions today and how part of her mind works and how she has probably been treated in the past I can see why and really sympathize with that poor girl, I wish we have more info on how she got like this." Paige said as she sat there feeling really worried for the poor girl.

Mary layed in her crib and nibbled on her cookie getting crumbs everywhere until she fell asleep. In the living room Paige was getting her purse "alright I'm gonna head home for now. I'll be back tomorrow after work. I'll tell the owner about Mary and see what we can do. While you're off work try and find ways to get her out of the house and get her used to public. Maybe even set up a playdate with someone in the neighborhood or something"

"Yeah sure, where am I gonna find a kid that wants to play with a girl who has a sensitivity to light, can't play outside unless she has a bonnet, doesn't like loud noises, and will scream her head off and keep her eyes shut whenever there is light in the room, and doesn't act her age, none of these nitwit parents will understand that, let's be honest." He reasoned with Paige as he got up to escort her to the front door.

Paige can't help but a agree with "hmmmm maybe someone who is used to dealing with babies." She thinks then it hits her "Hey wait! So at the daycare there are two twin girls around five years old. There mom works as a nurse and the girls love going and helping take care of the babies. Having a playmate to take care of her may help."

"Oh yeah sure, those twins are gonna be willing to take care of practically a special needs baby, while I do agree with you about the playmate thing, I don't honestly think that the mom or the twins regardless of what the mom does for a living or how much the twins help out and sorry for being pessimistic, but you can't deny the situation I find myself in." He told her more concerned than she probably knew about this.

Paige glared at her "listen i understand this is hard for you but you accepted the responsibility. If you need help that is fine but don't just throw away possibilities. I was going to say i can explain the situation to the mother and see if you all can set up a playdate so she can see how Mary is" she says getting in his face

"Okay, Okay I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Go ahead do what you need to do, I'll be waiting, sorry to bother you with this." He said to her.

"Its fine. I will and besides" she smiles "your doing a great job da-da" she snickers as she teases him "but seriously i can tell that as bad of a situation that she is in she must have been much worse when you first adopted her. She already seems to love you so keep up the good work" she gives him a hug then begins walking to her car

"Only she gets to call me that, you can still call me Gram." He said as he gave her a hug back and wished her a good night and watched her drive home and went back inside to go and do some stuff he needed to catch up on.

Mary slept like a baby until she woke up to roll over and start making poopoo in her diaper. She was hardly even awake to do that and probably won't even remember doing it when she is fully awake.
