Worsening issues

So I have always had bowel issues for very long time. Recently for past couple years had what was told is OAB. Past couple months I noticed increased urinary issues including wetting at night and at times unexpected urine leaking during the day, just like that.  I been wearing a diaper for mostly 24 hours a day except when at home to air out. Urologist did some preliminary tests etc including discovering urinary retention which he was very concerened anout and now wants more specialized testing which I do later this week.  Urologist mentioned pending results a catheter may be waranted. Anyone deal with similar issues? What catheter was used? I do not have the time or patience to do self catheterization but am concerned.

I'd try the duette type--seems much better having a blunt end poking around your bladder.
