Older Children in Diapers

Yes, there are a lot of posts and stories about children older than 4 needing pull-ups and diapers for a wide variety of reasons. I have written extensively about wearing just-in-case diapers up to age 17. My husband Don sometimes wet his bed after his younger sister was born when he was 8, but he was not originally diapered at home. That year he became best friends with a boy in his class who was diapered the minute he got home from school and for bed. That boy's mom asked Don to wear diapers when playing in her home. Don did not mind. Once Don's mom found out she began diapering Don for bed until he stopped bedwetting when he was 11.

What I believe violates DD policy and USA law are photos or video of minor children wearing obvious diapers posted on websites.

The law thing is unfortunately a gray area.     DD does well to avoid it even if it were technically legal.   You get known as even a (soft) kiddie porn site, you're going to have a lot of trouble.

There was another popular site years back that enticed a rather stupid mother to allow her daughter to be used for diaper photoshoots.    The person who was responsible for this was already a registered sex offender (though was masquerading a disabled woman on the forum).    I believe both the offender and the site operator ended up in rather protracted criminal proceedings.

I didn't realize at the time but when I was 13 and first got on the internet looking at diaper pictures I came across a boy named Tommy I believe his name was? At least that's what I remember it being from a name of the picture and the boy was probably around 7 or 8 and there also were pictures of him sucking on a bottle while in a wooden highchair with sweat pants on and some with just a white  plastic backed disposable baby diaper.

And also one picture of him sitting on the floor in a diaper, shirt and socks playing with lego's and toy cars on one of those car road mats and a baby bottle sitting on the right side of the picture. 

Anyway at that time I did save those photos because I was a minor at the time myself and was imagining that boy being me dressed like that and being treated like a toddler and wearing diapers.

Anyway I came across a few of the photos of that boy again recently doing a google image search for diaper photos and I think it was on that imgsrc site anyway my now adult eyes noticed something on the boys body where he was just in a diaper and T shirt and I had to look at that photo again because I noticed that the boy had some bruises on him from either being beaten or burned so he was clearly being abused and forced into wearing the diaper and being treated like a toddler at that time. 

And now it hurts me to think about what was happening to that boy at the time and how he was being treated and thoughts cross my mind that the person taking the photos probably was sexually abusing him too.

I hope that that boy is still okay today and was able to get away from that abuse as he surely was being at least burnt or beaten and god only knows what else. 

I then realized too now that one of those pictures of that Tommy boy in a diaper was the pictured used to make that drawing on the D diaper page sites front page.

Probably why I like diapers...revenge to her abuse!

I used to get a lot of bruises myself and yes even had bruises from being spanked with a hairbrush from my mom when I really truly deserved it. 

And some bruises on that boy did look like it could be from just playing and getting hurt normally. 

But one mark did stand out and clearly looked like he was intentionally burned with something which I hope not. 

If I had kids I wouldn't force them into diapers or playing like that but if they wanted too then it would be awesome and cute at the same time.

The pictures of the boy were and still are certainly cute and when I have diapers I like to get on the floor and imagine I'm playing like that boy is in the pictures. 

There were a few other pictures that I came across of another boy in diapers and I think his name was Jarod and the pictures were taken sometime in 2001 if the date on the pictures were right.

He clearly was enjoying the diapers and showing them off in the back yard that was wooded because he dropped his pants and was smiling for the camera showing off his diaper which I think was a pampers diaper. 

I went to school with a Jarod and it could possibly be him and that would certainly be cool if it were but I wouldn't know where he was at now. 

The boy Jarod I went to school with did move out of state so I'm not sure but he does look really familiar in the pictures.

Our rules are at the top of every forum, and Elfy has explained them quite well in other places. We have to abide by the laws where the server is located, as well as Federal laws. Among those is a specific prohibition of posting pics of anyone under 18 which might be see as having a sexual connotation. Since everyone determines that connotation differently our only real option is to not allow any underage pics or the referencing to anyone under 18 real or contrived in any sexual manner at all. And not so long ago we had to amend our rules and standards to align with UK legislation which could have caused our members and viewers from there legal problems of their own.

Right now the real problems are that  there are few specific rulings and standards on the subject. While that is consternating to us, it also points out that there haven't been very many cases heard about this, which means it's not a common happening- that's a good thing. Also we're stuck with obeying laws from other nations which we might not be aware of. So please understand that while our rules may seem draconic, it's the only sensible approach we can take to protect you, us, and this website from unwarranted legal problems which we can't afford to have. We do this for you

I was lucky to have been allowed to stay at home till 22 1/2, because the physical abuse from my Dad was just getting too much.

I moved out Feb. 1, 1989. All I had were my VHS videotapes, a couple of computer books, a brand new ABC123 comforter I bought from Hudson's Bay Co. in the Fall of '88. I brought with me the 1 doz. baby size cloth diapers I bought which still fit me.

Schools don't teach kids how to manage living on their own. Schools are mostly (literally) a huge waste of time. They don't show how to cook food, or manage a budget.

So went I moved out on my own I bought baby food jars, baby cereal, aside from jars of apple sauce, chicken burgers, wieners and buns, beans, spinach in a can, milk, apple juice, spaghetti and sauce.

Since then I've learned to cook more.

But I really liked that first home I lived in. It was in the basement of a duplex house. I used to sit in my cloth diaper (no plastic pants yet) and blanket sleeper (Woolco) and watch CNN, A&E ('89-90), MuchMusic, YTV, etc...

Though I do wish she had prepared me a little better for what life was really like instead of keeping us locked up in the house with only each other to interact with. I have always loved diapers and would take them from my baby brother and sister in my teens and wear and wet them.

My Mom was a housewife too. She didn't drive or bicycle. We stayed at home watching tv in the Winter. In the Spring and Summer we'd hang around the neighbourhood park on the merry go round or the swings.

Context matters, not just what’s covered. A photo of a person is a bathing suit is regarded differently than a photo of a person in their underwear. We all know this.

A photo of a minor in a diaper on a medical store website and a photo of a minor in a diaper on a diaper fetish website are different. We all know this.

Context and intent matter, particularly as regards how, oh, say, a prosecutor, judge and jury might interpret the nature of the image, and I would agree with them. I’d probably be even more reactionary than they on the subject because I want our community to be free of predators, pedos, and association with them. 

I applaud and thank DD and it’s moderators for their policy and vigilance.

There are many reasons older children may be in diapers.  They may have a medical issue causing bladder and/or bowel issues and need diapers.  That also includes late development of their body, birth defect or results of serious illness or accident.  You also have those who are fine in the day but still have wetting issues while sleeping or at night.  Children develop at different stages and ages.  Most will outgrow bedwetting but some never will and will still bedwet at age 45.  Some kids may revert to bedwetting again when they go through puberty.  You also have the idiot parents who use diapers as a punishment for their kid having an accident or wetting his or her bed.  I've also seen parents who are just lazy and keep their kid in diapers at an older age, 5 or 6 years old.  Think "People Of Walmart" and some low class people on government aid who don't even try to get a job, have 6 kids and sit around all day doing nothing but eating and watching TV.  I don't mean to sound harsh and disrespectful for those who do need government financial help, but unless you live in my area and see every day these people, don't judge my comment harshly.  We all know that Welfare Fraud goes on all over the country and I see it daily where I live.  You also have parents who both work long hours and may not be able to stay home and do as much care as mothers did in the 1950's.  The thinking might just be, "I'll hold off on the potty training until he gets older rather than starting too early and having setbacks or no luck".  Over the years I have also read posts from people who are AB or DL themselves who take the attitude, "If my son or daughter (of any age) wants to just wear diapers, that's OK with me.  It's up to them".  Personally, I disagree.

Here is the relevant issue, as far as I'm concerned and some may agree and others may not.  Older kids wear diapers for various reasons.  We know and accept that even though some situations are valid and others may be questionable.  From a legal standpoint a picture of a 6 year old in a pull up or diaper may not be breaking the law even though some think it may be a grey area.  Content has a lot to do with it.  Seeing a commercial for a 3 year old kid in Pull Ups or Goodnites (I can't ever remember seeing a Goodnites commercial visibly showing an older kid actually wearing the Goodnite) is one thing.  Seeing Star Diapers advertisements showing 9 year old kids smiling and wearing just diapers or diapers showing 6 inches out the back of their pants or pictures of older kids in diapers posted on the internet is disgusting and wrong (in my opinion) even if it might not be against the law.

We should think about one thing.  Why would anyone be interested in looking at a 9 year old (or any older child or teen) wearing a diaper?  Is it lust, desire or excitement that drives some urge inside them?  Someone may be wired with that urge, same as most of us are wired with a desire to wear diapers, but when it involves looking at innocent children, that goes way over the top.  You might have some people who look at a women thinking, "Boy is she built!  I'd love to jump in bed with her" but you also have a few who act upon it and rape women (sometime killing them) due to not being able to control their urges.  Might that not also happen with adults who look at kids in diapers, especially if they themselves have a diaper fetish?  Sure, the majority can probably control their thoughts and keep their urges in check, but some will snap and act upon them and then you have a problem, pedophile, child molester and overall horrifying situation.

Not that I’m supporting any sort of explicit or illegal behavior, but speaking from personal experience, I know there’s some folks who either see a relatable or envious connection with images and other media of children wearing diapers. There have been threads on different commercials and moments in media involving this sort of subject matter and people have commented on their connections to them. Again, I’m not agreeing or supporting that any unlawful or explicit media production is okay, but there probably is more to it than meets the eye.

As for children who aren’t quite potty trained or still diapered, I have to give the families the benefit of the doubt. As it’s already been said, we don’t really know what’s going on behind the scenes. Maybe the child simply isn’t ready to potty train, maybe the family is going through a difficult time and potty training isn’t high on the priority list, maybe there is an underlying medical condition, who really knows? I can understand that there may be a laziness component to some cases or neglect, or a number of other things. I know for myself personally, mental health played a role into my potty training and the fact I wasn’t trained until 4 1/2 years of age. My parents tried for over a year, maybe even longer, and between my mental health and my overall stubbornness, I wasn’t 100% on board until that age.

I know that when it comes to my kids, whenever I have them, I’ll do my best to potty train them at the right time. If they ever choose to get back into wearing diapers for one reason or another or need to medically, I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.

I have read in the past that the kid in the photos on imgsrc Tommy well at the time was abused not just physical but also sexually I have also read that he no longer is living do to the idiots that abused him.  I am so sad that they did that to that boy.  And pictures do tell a million stories.  

I really hate that site now as there are just scum bags on there.  Though I did meet a good friend of mine on there and we are still friends to this day on FB and we talk a lot.

My friend told me that I saved his life one day as I was the only one who would talk to him.  he is now 19 or so and still a good friend.  

As for tommy I hope his abusers are rotting in jail or dead.
