Baby Shorts?

Recommended Posts

It's getting warm outside and sometimes 24/7 diapers get warm too.

Anybody know where I can get "baby" shorts? Is just a pull-up sweat or gym short or is there more to it? Are there side snaps to make changing easier?

I need your advice and places where they can be purchased!

No worries, and don’t be so hard on yourself. It’s not a “dumb” question. If you are talking about just being cooler, then there are plenty of options at your local store. Just be sure the shorts you choose, are larger then what you wear without a diaper. Loose fit would be best.

If you are looking for shorts that are more like what kids wear, or Adult Baby clothes. Then, I would suggest looking at eBay for a start. There are lots of sellers, who specialize in making adult baby clothes. There are also sellers, with their own online stores. Some will do custom jobs, and can make what you want. Just be ready to have to pay a bit more for the privilege. Some examples, http://cosyndry.com/  ,  http://www.littleforbig.com/ ,  http://abdlfactory.com/index.php?route=common/home ,  you can also check Amazon at, https://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=baby+clothes+for+adults&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=232547650507&hvpos=1t1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9340586819479675961&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9003976&hvtargid=kwd-353189980690&ref=pd_sl_40037hprz5_e

I hope that helps you? And, a dumb question, is one that is never asked.

This must be one of the dumbest questions ever posted. Maybe I'm making more complicated that it is. I apologize for wasting anyones time.

First, snap crotches are more for baby and toddler clothing that is hard to just pull down to change a diaper.  That would be a onesie or perhaps overalls or shortalls.  Regular shorts are about the easiest thing to pull down for diaper access, therefore you are very unlikely to find shorts that have snap crotch.  Check places like WalMart for shorts, especially now that summer is coming.  Last year i bought a pair of thin sweat shorts in dark grey for about $5.  Not to wear over diapers but because they are thinner shorts and therefore cool to wear around the house and for doing yard work on a hot day.  I would expect these shorts would really show the bulk of a diaper undernieth if you wore them out and about.  I don't know if your plan is to be discreet with shorts over your diaper in hot weather, and if so, I would look at WalMart or Target or any place like that for shorts that might be made of heavier material that won't show off the bulk as much.  Since you mentioned "baby" shorts and spoke of snaps, it makes me think you might want it a little obvious you are wearing diapers or baby shorts.  If that's the case, look in the woman's section for thin shorts.  Usually they are a lot shorter legs then men's shorts and maybe wider leg openings as well that could make a diaper undernieth more obvious if that's what you want.

Not a dumb question at all.  I picked up two great short shorts in a thin stretchy material at Walmart in peach and mint green.  One pair is shown below.

Thanks all. I like wearing baby clothes and have several onsies that I wear most of the time. I thought about just wearing shorts without shirt or socks and just enough to cover the diaper and plastics, just in case someone comes to the door or to go to the mailbox. Don't care if they're obvious, just enough to not cause an accident :o.

Then all you need is loose shorts, shorts that are some sizes bigger than you would normally wear

If you want it to be short, buy shorts meant for girls

I have both shorts and training pants I can quickly put on if someone comes on the door or f I need to go out with the trash etc., both very easy to get on and loose/tight enough that it wont fall off, without tugging..

I will heed your advice this weekend. I have a few pairs of sweatpants that also work, but are often caught unawares. I should keep them close at hand. Been caught thrice.... Once by HVAC , once by a plumber and once by the mailman (all of whom I know well). Life goes on...

Is why being caught will stay as a fantasy

I cycled to store yesterday with a short t-shirt, but every time I passed people, I made sure it covered the diaper

Not so keen on wearing shorts, cause of hairy ugly legs, imo

Another option consider wearing a skirt - ease of change - with the right hem length limited exposure potential.

Yes males wearing skirts raises questions - so does diapers - get over it - convenience is paramount.

If wearing skirts of denim material the skirt can become almost invisible.

There will be a great deal more coverage than that PINK BABY DIAPER short cover photo posted earlier.

I agree.  Nice thought if a guy likes to wear a skirt, but the subject of this thread is shorts, not skirts.  If I was Scottish I would proudly wear a kilt when appropriate, but as a straight guy who is not a sissy, I will not wear a skirt or women's clothing!  I say just get some regular shorts somewhere.  They come in many sizes and fabrics and styles.  Choose what you think will fit your needs as far as being cool, discreet for diaper wearing or not discreet as you see fit for your own use (like TheBabyPants in his photos).  Otherwise try places on like for adult baby shorts.  https://www.etsy.com/listing/546166272/shiny-nylon-sporthose-sprinter-wetlook?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=adult baby&ref=sr_gallery-2-14    https://www.etsy.com/listing/545950452/shiny-nylon-sporthose-sprinter-wet-look?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=adult baby shorts&ref=sr_gallery-1-12  https://www.etsy.com/listing/276933838/vintage-baby-blue-grandma-shorts?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=adult baby shorts&ref=sr_gallery-1-47  https://www.etsy.com/listing/579736433/70s-swim-shorts-unisex-xs-vintage?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=adult baby shorts&ref=sr_gallery-2-7   https://www.littles-downunder.com.au/?s=shorts&post_type=any     https://www.etsy.com/listing/545946858/shiny-nylon-sporthose-running-sprinter?ref=related-2

You get the idea.  Lots of places you can search on line if you want baby style adult shorts.

Big difference between some girls shorts and skirts!  Some girls shorts can be worn by guys who jog or excersize without causing a problem.  A guy wearing a skirt just screams, "Look at me!  I'm a guy wearing a skirt!"

Yeah. I can't even go there. It just seems "off".

If that were true, imagine what a babydoll would be like: One-piece, high-waisted, very short and easily lifted; ultral convenient. Eaiser to put on than the diaper. In fact, according to Wikipedia, the babydoll gets it's name from looking like it was designed with changing diapers in mind. I am talking about a traditional babydoll, not one of these THINGS you see today that consist of a G-string and some poor excuse for a camisole :)

I would go with ababebill says.  I would definitely check out etsy if I were you.  Even if you cant find one you can ask one of the sellers on etsy if they are able to customize one for you

Thank you very much! This really helps. The system will not allow me to "thank you" for your post. Apparently you're limited to three per day and have to use them judiciously. I had a heck of a time finding the "like" button. Somebody needs to explain to me what the other icons next to the like really mean and how they can affect you. I'm slowly learning. I didn't even know that button was there until I accidentally stumbled across it. Due to vision loss I have to magnify the screen 6x and reverse video which means I miss a lot. Thanks for your patience.

You bet. Thanks for your input. I don't get Etsy and haven't yet been able to find anything. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

I think looking for shorts that have elastic waist bands might help. That's a very toddlerish look. Many swim trunks look like regular short but have elastic waists.
