College to toddler

Zack was so excited to move to a far college away from his controlling roommate. Zack hated them and never wanted to see them again. He was studying computer science even though he wasn’t that good at it. Zack was just about 4”8 so people thought he was eight years old. He had short brown hair and green eye.  Zack walked up to his room and started to unpack.

Brad looked aroma nd his dorm room all and all he was pretty happy with the setup, now he was just waiting for he roommate to get in hopefully he would be a cool guy but being a big strong guy brad wasn’t too worried when you’re 6’4 people tend to do what you want most of the time. As Brad finished making his bed he heard the door expecting to see his roommate he turned around but instead of seeing someone his a very cute little boy walked in slightly confused Brad looked behind the boy for a grownup then approached the boy saying “hey there little buddy are you lost” he bent down on one knee so they were at the same level

Zack looked up at brad who obviously was bigger than Zack. Zack frowned when brad asked him that. 

“ no I’m suppose to be in this room “ zack said going brad to see what the room looked like.

Brad smiled at Zack “oh ok I bet your big brother is gonna by to be my roommate and he sent you up here to wait like a good boy while he and your parents unload the car can I get you a cookie pal of a juice”

Zack sighed. “ no im attending the college here. I got assigned to this room. I’m not a little boy. “ Zack said getting frustrated with brad.

Brad shook his head “oh I’m so sorry buddy, I just assumed I mean your just so little and cute I thought you were about 6 years old he gently grasped Zacks chin, tell me about yourself little buddy starting with your name please”

Zack moved away from brad. “ well my name is Zack and I’m studying computer science “ Zack said then spooked to see where he would sleep. 

“ which bed is yours”

Feeling oddly protective of this boy Brad said in a gentle voice  the one that doesn’t have anything on it, I got here last night so I took the left side I hope that’s ok, are your parents downstairs kiddo where’s the rest of your stuff”

Zack just had one back since he lost most of his stuff coming. “ no I left my strict parents and yea this is all I have “ Zack said sitting on the bed.

Brad have the little guy a worried look “ ok buddy that’s ok but umm you need sheets and blankets and a pillow colleges don’t supply that stuff kiddo , have you thought about how you might handle that”

Zack thought for a minute. “ no I haven’t and I don’t have any money. I was planing on working in the cafe for right now “ Zack said. “ so I guess I’m sleeping on a mattress”

Brad went and sat next to the small boy and put an arm around his shoulder “hey now buddy, I think I have an idea, my mom packed me an extra set of sheets and bedding the only problem is that they used to belong to my little sister so they are all my little poney, I know it’s not ideal but they are soft and warm and would do for now”

Zack thought about it. “ yea I guess that she I’ll do for now. So what’s your name and what are you majoring in “ Zack asked.

Brad clapped Zack on the shoulder “sorry little buddy I’m majoring in elementary education and my name is Brad , butvyou can call me Mr Brad or uncle Brad”He stoped himself remembering that he was talking to a grownup he said Brad is just fine” changing the subject he asked “how old are you anyway buddy”

Zack thought brad was acting weird.  “ oh cool so like what age in particular” Zack said. “ I just turned 18 “ Zack said.

Brad looked at Zack “you’re 18 that’s crazy well guess what little buddy you’re older then I am, I won’t turn 18 for almost 6 month kind of funny right anyway let me get you those sheets have you ever made a bed before kiddo?

“ yea that is kind of funny “ Zack said laughing and getting off the bed. “ yea lots of times “

Brad went to his closet and grabbed the sheets “ here you go buddy, he handed them to Zack “let me know if you need any help kiddo”

“Okay I won’t “ Zack said and starts to make his bed the right way. He soon finished.” I need new sheets “ Zack said with a sigh.

Brad came up behind Zack putting his hands on the little boys shoulders and giving him a little rub “I do t know little buddy, I think there kind of cute”

Zack hated being called little. “ okay please don’t call me little “ Zack said upset

Brad put his arms around the little boy pulling him back into a kind of backward hug “I’m sorry kiddo, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable. I’ll try not to use the L word but just so you know I don’t mean anything bad by it I promise”

“ I know you don’t just don’t like to be called that. Have you been around campus yet “ Zack ask.

“Yes a bit, actually it’s right about lunch time, maybe we should head to the cafeteria”

without thinking he slipped Zacks hand into his and pulled him toward the door “let’s go get some lunch buddy”

Zack thought it was weird and pulled away from brad. “ umm I don’t umm you know need to hold you hand “ Zack said thinking brad liked him.
