My new parents (open)

[Wannatripbaby]

"Oh dear! Well, it seems there has been a serious miscommunication on someone's part. This is not good..." she starts pacing.

Alice: What is wrong

[Wannatripbaby]

"Well, nothing per say. But, you were probably expecting a relatively normal child to call your own. Anna could prove quite a challenge for an unprepared parent. Do you have any idea how to deal with a child who's been abused by parents in the past?"

Bob: No but we will take care of her

Alice: And we will love her the best we can

[Wannatripbaby]

She looked like she was about to say something, then stopped herself. "I guess that's probably more than any social worker could ask of you. I'm sorry if I seem a little frazzled. I've only been on the job for a few months and as you can imagine it can sometimes be overwhelming.

Alice: We just want to see our little girl

[Wannatripbaby]

"Well, just sign these papers and she's all yours." She sets out the adoption papers. "And I'm sorry if I scared you or anything. She might love it here and everything will be fine. I just wanted to prepare you for the worst."

Bob: We sign the papers

[Wannatripbaby]

"Great. And one more thing: she wasn't exactly excited to be here; to have new parents. So she might be a flight risk. Just keep a close eye on her to make sure she doesn't run off, okay?"

Alice: Okay 

Bob: I hold your hand as we wait

[Wannatripbaby]

"I'll bring her right in."

She goes out to get her and you hear the protests of a little girl outside. "Let me go! I don't want to! No! Please!"

Bob: When you bring her in i shake your hand

[Wannatripbaby]

When the social worker opened the door and brought her in she stopped fighting and looked up at you with fear in her eyes, trembling slightly. She flinched as you reached out to shake her hand

Alice: I get down to your level and smile at you

[Wannatripbaby]

She looks down at the floor.

Ms. Pepper "Say hi to your new mommy and daddy, Anna."

"H-hi." She says meakly, still staring at her feet.

Alice: Hi anna your a very pretty girl can you look at me

[Wannatripbaby]

She looks up at you nervously.

[jan241989]

Alice: Welcome home sweetie

[Wannatripbaby]

She's not quite sure what to say or how to feel.

Ms. Pepper "I'll leave you alone to get to know your new addition. You have my number if there's any trouble." She leaves.

Alice: Are you hungry anna

[Wannatripbaby]

"N-not really." She says shifting on her feet.

[jan241989]

Bob: Okay then why don't you look around

[Wannatripbaby]

She nods her head and starts looking around.

[jan241989]

Alice: I go and make us some lunch

[Wannatripbaby]

(I'm gonna try writing from Anna's POV and see how I like it.)

I started looking around, cold diaper squishing between my legs with every step reminding me of the humiliation to come.

Maybe this time will be different? Maybe they won't hate me like the Petersons?

Wishful thinking.

At least I don't have a bunch of mean brothers and sisters to pick on me.
