Increasing a Disposable's Absorbancy

I've been wearing Rearz Inspires for some time now and love them. After numerous wettings they swell like crazy and get super thick before I change. I also have noticed that the rear of the diaper stays dry and thin compared to the swollen front. I was dismayed at the idea of throwing away so much of a good usable diaper so got the bright idea to cut the rear section off. Once off I cut the wings off then peeled the plastic outer shell off now I use it as an insert in my next diaper. Works like a charm and makes the diaper super thick and saves the cost of using a pad as an insert.

I like just trimming a Luvs along the elastic and using it inside my Depends. Works great as a booster and I haven't had any trouble with pee not getting around it. Every now and then I'll even snip a few holes in the plastic backing of the Luvs so when I wet, it transfers to the Depends faster. Either way, boosters or doubling is less work.
