My outlook express email stopped working, try to send or receive mail and I just get the message "the operation failed" I use this email for work so any help appreciated. tried rebooting computer, no help.

What are you using for a mail server?   Are you sure the passwords are still valid on whatever service you're using?

Thanks for the help. ended up reinstalling outlook. Thank god I still had the disk.

Why even use a software solution when it is tons of better online versions

Well, outlook express isn't the best program, but other clients have a whole lot of advantage over the various webmails I've tried (and my mail provider offers a half a dozen).

Hope you fixed it, I'd have offered advice, but I can't even get my computer to recognize my new router.. Works great for Wi-Fi, but hook it up to my PC my PC has a fit. "Cannot find Proxy server", silly PC.. I don't use a proxy.. am at my own wits end on this one.. tried rebooting, reseting the PC, resetting the adapter. *sigh* I've had a similar problem before.. actually the same problem,  fixed it that time, but for the life of me I can't remember what I did the last time to fix it.

 

If anyone has a suggestion for my issue.. go for it as I've exhausted the webs suggestions.
