I would have to say that the answer is obvious. if you wet while in bed, you are a bedwetter Your protection or lack thereof is irrelevant (except to the person sleeping next to you)!

When I started wetting the bed my wife bought diapers pants and mattress cover.I would flood the bed if not diapered.I know call myself a bedwetter.
