Padding question

I bought some drynites of ebay and got some 3 loose 2006 drynites in with a bunch of the current design, however I have noticed in these 3 that the padding seems really stiff with a kind of grainy feeling compared to the newer versions, is it a case that diapers expire eventually or is there something I can do to salvage them?

I see this quite a lot, mainly because I collect discontinued and vintage diapers and pull ups. As long as the diapers don't feel damp or have accumulated any moisture over the years, they should still be fine. They may be slightly down on absorbancy, but not much, at least in my experiences anyway.
