Becoming a parent through tragedy (private for baby_james and Danny)

[Danny]

"Well I'm taking the kids to their new school tomorrow. Maybe you could come with me for support?"

[Baby_James]

"Yea I would love to come with you Danny. I'm sure Chris will love the school and I know his teacher she's really nice. And the daycare I found is one of the best and close to your office

[Danny]

"you are a star Holly. I am not sure I want the kids going to the funeral. Maybe Chris can as he may understand but definitely not Charlie and Carly. I can take them to their graves when they are a little older"

"I think Carly can go to sleep now. I will be back down in a minute" I smile as I carry her up.

[Baby_James]

Carly holds onto Danny as she gets tucked in she's not fully asleep yet "can you stay pwesse" she says in her adorable toddler voice as holly sips on more wine

[Danny]

sighs and lays in bed with her and lets her fall asleep.

[Baby_James]

She holds onto him tight refusing to let him get up and holly comes up to check and make sure everything is ok

[Danny]

I now wakeup and I put Carlys teddy bear in her arms so I can go out the room.

[Baby_James]

"I'll come back tomorrow and we can go check out the schools together and maybe take them out for lunch and ice cream afterwards if you want"

[Danny]

Nods "that's great thanks Holly" kisses her as I let her out the door.

[Baby_James]

She blushes a little stunned from the kiss her face turning red as she leaves.

[Danny]

As I'm sleeping I can hear crying coming from the hallway.

[Baby_James]

Charlie sucks his thumb and cuddles into Danny holding on tight almost refusing to let go. He cryes in his arms for a bit but the cryes turn to whimpers and eventually he falls back to sleep

[Danny]

I fall to sleep with Charlies diapered bottom in my face. I don't realise this though so what's the worst that can happen.

[Danny]

Bump

[Baby_James]

Chris wakes up first and yawns rubbing his eyes as he makes his way to the kitchen hungry. He sees no one is awake and climbs on the counter reaching the cereal. Charlie wakes up too and crawls out of bed and too the kitchen

[Danny]

Dan wakes up.

[Baby_James]

Chris smiles and giggles "Danny i big boy i helped" he says proudly holdnig up his bowl of cereal as chris gets up and heads to the bathroom to use the potty and get ready and charlie shakes his head no about using the potty and keeps eating his ceareal

[Danny]

"Chris I think you need changing though.

[Baby_James]

Charlie spills the rest of his cereal and milk on himself and laughs "aww wone Danny!" As he holds up his empty bowl proudly.

[Danny]

I get Charlie cleaned up "go and watch tv with your brother, I need to get Carly changed and fed" I say, all flustered and I head up to her.

[Baby_James]

Charlie waddles off to go find Chris as at this point Carly is screaming and crying at the top of her lungs having a full meltdown as she looks around waiting for help

[Danny]

Heads upstairs to Carlys room and picks her up out of her crib

"baby girl whats wrong" I say as I comfort her "its okay, Danny is here" I cuddle her as I move her into my room and I sit her on my lap as I sit on my bed.

[Baby_James]

She's red in the face tears streaming down both cheeks as she tryed to catch her breath "bwad. Dweam" is all she's able to get out before burying her face in Danny's chest holding onto him tight knowing now that she never wants to leave Danny's arms again.

[Danny]

I cuddle her tightly knowing I am now a father figure to her.

"its okay sweetheart, Danny is here for you"

There's a knock on the door as it's holly.
