I know this sucks for our kinky kindred spirits in the U.K. and I hope this law fails to pass but after everything that has happened here it difficult to be optimistic.

One thing I do know is like death and taxes, human nature is unavoidable. People will find a way around this law if it does pass. They can't censor this content if people resort to technology to circumvent the censorship.

I'm probably a good example. I've never been on the "dark web" nor have I ever used a proxy thingy to browse the net. I'm basically too lazy to bother to learn and adapt to the technology needed to do that.  If my access to this site and others like it were taken from me via interference from my isp at the direction of the government I would adapt. I can guarantee that I would learn very quickly how to circumvent the isp. I would do this because I know my motivation to be here is far greater than some Aholes motivation to prevent it. I don't think I'm unusual in that regard either.

Hugs,

Freta

I haven't used the dark net but I have used tor to get around the porn blocker that ISPs put up automatically now. I live with my parents and I am not going to ask them to call up BT to ask to remove a block so I can watch abdl women doing things in their diaper.

If people want an alternative group to donate to I can suggest: https://www.openrightsgroup.org/

They seem to use the lawyer mentioned earlier and also campaign to keep the internet free and open. Taking out our personal stake in this (our fetish is under attack), it could be the start of a very slippery slope that sees a lot of the internet censored, VPNs banned or regulated extremely heavily and other bad stuff to give the government control to end the "golden age" of the internet.

It may seem extreme but with the Snoopers charter and then censoring content like porn we are very quickly becoming a place like China in terms of freedoms and privacy given up.

This is true, Elfy - but trying to get people to defend US when they're not under attack, because it's plain as the nose on your face that they will be next, ain't easy.

I saw it before, 10 years ago, when we tried to mobilise the shooting and fishing people to come to the defence of hunting. But since it was only hunting that was under attack, they mostly couldn't be bothered. Even though it was obvious to US that they would be next, they were just living in denial in la-la land.

Tell that to Sinclair Lewis, Ayn Rand, Robert A. Heinliena and Poul Anderson

For the instant a thing becomes unthinkable, people stop thinking of it, drop their guard and guess what

Wow this is truly disgusting and should not take place.  We want the internet free and open for everyone, that means the pornography industry as well (or as they are labeling it).

Just incredible, hope this doesn't pass for those members in the U.K.

Thoughts with you, from Canada.

Meh most of the western population has been groomed to accept "a resonable level of intrusion", some have come to expect it.

Sucks that its now trending in this direction, but there are lots of ways around these things.

Wendy is the owner of adultbabysource.com.  it is a uk based abdl porn site.

It's actually based in Australia although she tries to hide it and it is hosted in USA

While I am not surprised that some clown has tried this on, the list of things that would be banned is extremely broad and likely to cover an interest that probably every MP indulges in. Spanking??? seriously?  It is the most common fetish and extremely popular. Age-play I understand because it is relatively rare and fools and morons confuse it with paedophilia. But facesitting????  They want to ban facesitting but not ban aggressive hardcore porn?

I give it no chance of passing as long as enough people make a bit of a scene at lease.

I would have agreed but a couple of years ago they made the acts illegal to make videos of here, this is just extending it so that even foreign based things to do with this are blocked. There was small protests but nothing that made a difference.

More recently they have passed the Snoopers Charter... Again, little to no protest from anyone.

This porn blocking is attached to a bill that is definitely passing through Parliament without issue. There isn't any opposition to it in either public or parliament either... Writing it off as having no chance to pass is extremely dangerous when everything points to it coming in as soon as they get around to it. There really is no reason to believe it won't pass.

Sounds like Mary Whitehouse all over again :bash: I do hope at least some MP's will see this as more restrictive than being in the EU and state that publicly as they fight it :mf_swordfight: If anyone finds a consolidated movement against it (or any info really) please add it here.

And everyone: please join in this fight for freedom!

TL:DR She was an English busybody who didn't like people being able to do what she deemed immoral. She got a lot of traction in the 70's around the time Thatcher was elected, signalling a return to conservatism in England.

Fun fact: She is referenced by name in the track on Pink Floyd's 1977 album Animals, "Pigs (Three Different Ones)"

Hello i hope someone can answer my question. I was looking on facebook and found a diaper lovers group and my question is. Is there anyway to become a member of that group without anybody who looks and my profile being able to see it?

Well it seems things might not be so bad after all:

The Bill is happening and the Age-Verification thing is still going ahead and there are some worrying things to do with security and stuff.

However on the upside there not going to “ban all the things” in regards to porn anymore: the list has been shortened considerably and basically says you can’t make porn with corpses, animals or cause serious injury to people and that's it pretty much.

Sexual campaigner Pandora Blake wrote an article on her blog/site thing that explains it better

http://pandorablake.com/blog/2017/4/digital-economy-bill-amendments

@Elfy what's your opinion?

Well I read the whole thing and it's kind of a mixed bag.

The laws proposed are still stupid but the changes are massive for people in the ABDL and BDSM worlds. It seems the version of the bill handed back to the Commons does not include blocks on inane porn such as age play and BDSM scenes.

However, as excellent as that is... It still needs to pass through the Commons. Basically, the Commons could reject the amendments and the Bill would be sent back to the Lords again. This blog writer seems confident that it won't be done but I have learned not to be too optimistic. If the Government really want to force this issue they can reject the amendments and send it back to the Lords and continue the ping-pong phase.

Basically, if it passes in it's current state it will be a bit annoying rather than horrific... We will see if if the Commons votes for the amendments, until then I am not celebrating.

I just realised that the link in the post above is out of date, it's from before the final vote.

I read the more up to date post that talked about the rushing through of the final for of the bill... The bill did pass and received royal ascent, this means strict age verification is on the way (something @DailyDi will need to implement to keep the site open in the UK) but it also means the extreme port amendment passed which means that abdl and bdsm porn should not be blocked. The only things that shouldn't be blocked. There are some vague rules about what is extreme porn but abdl and almost all bondage should be fine for the most part. So overall good news, I think :-)

Elfy this is exactly what I understood when I read the proposed bill. Age verification. From what I read and understood was that this proposal was going to hold site operators and vendors accountable for not enforcing age verification of their clientele, and in my opinion it's proper. I saw nothing that was infringing one's rights to what they view legally on the internet. It was all about protecting minors

As I stated in a prior post on this exact subject that this is exactly what DD and it's Admins do for every new member that signs up. You vet them and that's exactly what the proposed bill was initiating.

No offense but it seems you got your diapers  in a wad over nothing.

Breathe man, breathe.

In the original Bill there was a last minute amendment added that meant "non-conventional" pornography would be blocked no matter what. In their definition of "non-conventional" was included age related roleplay. The amendment put in to remove the "non-conventional" part and make it just for things like beastiality and other nasty stuff was only voted for and added on the day the Bill was passed, yesterday.

Even with how the Bill finally played out, the age verification that will be done will likely require something more significant than us doing our best to find them. It will likely mean needing to involve software that will verify people, but I'm not sure what that will entail.

Either way, right or wrong, at least it's good news :)

Here I am, again - a day late and a dollar short.

And here we are, again, about five months after the initial post.  What happened?  Or are we all still holding our breath in anticipation?  Or, perhaps, peeing our diapers in fear of breaking the law?

Enquiring minds want to know.

The gist of it is that it's not quite as bad as before, age-verification stuff is coming in but all the porn isn't getting banned anymore just really awful stuff that probably should be illegal

Well it was a short reprieve...

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/theresa-may-internet-conservatives-government-a7744176.html

When the inevitable happens and the Tories get elected with a huge majority they are going to seize control of what can and can't be published online, what search engines can direct you to (including forcing search engines to not give pornographic results) and a bunch of other crazy stuff. Looks like they are specifically targetting BDSM and other kink fetishes as well so expect us to get caught in the net.

It's insane, it's draconian, it's Orwellian, it's a lot of things but it could be happening.
