They didn't try, they succeeded. They banned all of the above from being produced in this country, it is illegal to make videos of the above and sell it. Now they are extending it to blocking all material related to the the above from being seen at all here. They have added it as an amendment to a bill that is almost certain to pass.

The bill is not law yet. The time for political activism is now. Also, don't you have any kind of free speech law that would serve as a basis to challenge it in court?

The time to fight is now and that may require personal exposure or risk; but if nobody fights all will be screwed over. Liken it to Brexit- wasn't that done to remove restrictions instead of adding more? Show the evil-doing MP's and Politicos for who they truly are- enemies of the people.

There are always ways to get around this kind of blocking, a VPN would be useful, many legal reasons to have one, would be a pain for your government to block all of them, some browsers have access to some vpns and also have some way of keeping your traffic private(I dont know much about that aspect) but Ive heard of Tor for using encrypted stuff.
