Does anyone else ever cry for barely any reason at all? I've suffered with anxiety and depression basically forever and a massive lack of self confidence to the extent of not being able to talk to friends somedays. Anyway

I use to do that too still sometimes do or just get upset at stuff so don't worry your not alone.

Undesired crying can have many sources, but one of the common ones is Clinical Depression. Crying attributes is one of the diagnostics for it and offers both confirmation of the disease as well as an indication of it's severity. When I first 'hit bottom' I was in tears almost constantly. I had to take a couple days off work because it wouldn't have been acceptable there. To handle it initially I had to force myself to not pay attention to whatever caused it by thinking of something else. When I left work I went back to those things and let the tears flow freely. They have to be released or you don't get any better. As your condition improves the crying urges will diminish in frequency and strength
