XP Medical description: what the heck is plastic center?

So was looking on XP Medical: and they have some stuff for sale that says "plastic center" in the description

It's plastic backed but the wings are cloth.

Yep the center part is plastic backed and the wings are breathable cloth, the best of both worlds in my opinion! They are really comfy to wear.

I have had 4 cases of them in large and sad that they are not made any more. They are the best day time summer diaper. The cloth sides keep from sweating as bad with center of diaper plastic outer and soft cloth inside.
