SalsaQueen
I know this is dark of me to say that hearing "sad new of shooting" on the TV does not faze me anymore. Link to comment
smokey
These shootings actually don't happen that often, the news media owned by liberals just likes to sensationalize these stories for ratings and to push their agenda for more gun controll. Every time these happen, they like to demonize the law abiding gun owners as the problem 2 Link to comment

notababy
Elfy - that's spun pretty hard. It includes criminal-on-criminal violence (gangs, drugs, etc.) which is going to happen anyway (remember West Side Story and the gang/knife fight?). 1 Link to comment
eatenbywo1ves
I think there needs to be public recognition that it is impossible to stop someone with an out right will to do harm to others. That being said the measures taken to mitigate individual instances need to come under harsh scrutinity, like how is no fly no buy not a thing, more stringent purchasing proc esses that do not restrict ease of access to those who wish to own something in a lawful/responsible manner, and closing up straw purchase loop holes at gun shows. I love my firearms, but the ease access to those with malicious intent aginst others through just the lawful channels of purchasing is scary. Thats not even getting into illicit sales. PoPoDiaperFetish
I don't get how there are far more shootings and murders in the northern states compared to the gun ridden southern states? Link to comment
Diapered Jason
Chicago has a problem with gun violence because they have no trauma centers on the south side. Couple that with the recent fentanyl crisis and you got yourself a gang war with the nearest hospital 40 minutes away if you are on the south side. The police are also nervous since one of there own was charged with murder, so they are less likely to enforce laws or patrol certain areas. Link to comment

Ishigreensa
The truth about the ease of gun acquisition in America, is that it is what it is. 1 Link to comment
Ishigreensa
Well, let's look into actual crime verses just pointless shootings. 1 Link to comment
Diapered Jason
Ishigreensa, why not let the CDC or some organization do the research, study the issue, and prove that you are right. Otherwise, I think both sides of the gun debate are just taking "shots in the dark." Link to comment
Ishigreensa
The truth is, such research has already been done. 1 Link to comment
Diapered Jason
The government is too inefficient to work in the manner you specify, but that is irrelevant. Thus far, there has not been any reliable information generated on the subject of guns since 2001. Federal law prohibits said research by the CDC. This law was created by Rep. Dicky, a Republican from Arkansas, but it was signed into law by Bill Clinton, a Democrat. Link to comment
