My experience with stents

Recommended Posts

WOW, I don't get to read a bunch on this board but I had no idea we had a crash. What a shame we had acclimated a wealth of information.

I noticed some folks are having issues getting there stent in to place. While I can work my stent up my shaft and in to place without tools I made what I call a pusher tube that gets my stent in the right spot every time. You will noticed two marks on the tube. these are for the two different stent lengths that I work with. As most of the stents I have seen on this board they all have a hole in one end. In to the hole or opening in the end of the stent goes the end of the pusher tube, As long as I keep a forward push on the stent/pusher tube the pin on the end of the pusher tube stay in place. Once I reach the bladder using the mark indicated on my pusher tube I know the stent is seated. Of course if I have full bladder there is a sudden rush of urine

To make this I use a solid piece of plastic tube (end of a hobby paint brush) cut to a 1" length. Placing the 1" piece in my drill and spinning while holding sandpaper on the short end enough materials were removed so the short end fits in to my stent. Of course the other end fits nicely in a 12" section of vinyl airline. The positioning marks were my by marking the exposed end of Folly when inserted and inflated to full volume. This gives me the distance to the inside of my bladder to the outside of my penis.

This is similar to what I was going to attempt to make, so I'll just steal your design Loveable_guy :) , thanks a bunch for the helpful info!

Whilst I really liked the feeling of pee leaking from me and wetting my diaper, I'm feeling an urge to make a half stent as someone in the thread previously did. The feel of suddenly feeling a full on wetting as my internal sphincter opened up when my bladder decided to empty would be a different type of incontinence I think I'd like to to experience.

Actually with this catheter stent or the homemade airline stents when laying down you will likely stop leaking but when you stand the flood gates open. More that once after raising from a nap I have run to the bathroom knowing my diaper was about to burst!

Most of stent users make their stents themselves and install them as well, I know I do. I connect a retrieval line to it so I can pull it out whenever I want too or need too for that matter. For sure there are stents to be found like the spanner stent and they need to be put in place by a doctor for they need either echo, scopes or roentgen devices to monitor the procedure. These spanner stents are not permanent they need to change it ever 5 weeks or so. I am no doctor I found the information on internet. Same thing applies for the one I make and use myself. I can keep it in for weeks in a row but every so now and then I have to take it out for cleaning purposes and once it is cleaned and disinfected I pop it back in. it almost comes down to using a stent 24/7/365.

Spanner stent do not need special Devices’s to install just the proper length is required. Only doctor can get them for there use. The tether line sticks out of penis but if you cut it very short the doctor will have to use a scope to pull the line to deflect the balloon. The Foley catheter is my favorite device to use. It’s like having a sex toy in you. Catheter give me so much sexual pleasure thank God for my urin leaking. I’m totally addicted to the Foley catheter 24/7.

I understood a doctor had to insert a Stent.  Now I am confused!  And a Stent is perminant?  Yes?

There are different types of stents.some can be mesh inflated by a balloon to expand the walls outward. Spanner stent can be removed only if your doctor slowed to do so.

Stephrider, for the silicone ring I use an O ring large enough to slid over my shaft. To this I attach the retrieval cord. The cord length is long enough to allow the stent to be in place and for me  to have an erection. Too short and an erection will do one of two things, pull the O ring in or pull the stent out. An inch or so longer on the cord its better.

Play safe and stay wet.

I thought it was a way to conceal it inside the urethra. But risk of migration inward may be much higher. You know I dont wanna be hooked by my wife.

Ps : the previous messages seem not appear entirely but the full content still appear to be there but hidden. Do you get the issue as well and do you know if that issue has been escalated? It took me a while to understand why I not found the posts I looked for.

But it is still visible right?

Yeah, can still see the O-ring , rubber band is just for safety as the O-ring can still fit inside my urethra (thought it was big enough)

Ok.

I seem to have success.

Boyhood's talk about silicon bending made me try something.

Its in. Im completely incontinent and dripping away. It is a cross between cathdiap and loveable-guys designs.

I took a silicon intermediate cath and basically over a very low cooker flame applied heat and bent. The first attempt i gave it to much and it melted so you need to only briefly hold in close to flame. Put it this way it was done be hand and did not burn myself so that quick.

I thought it would spring back but with careful bending and not doing it to much at a time so as not to kink the tubing after cooling under tap it held its shape.

I the used lovable guys idea with the white cap and fishing line.

Result is a very soft and still flexible stent that goes in a treat.

So far after a lie down, walking about and a trip to the supermarket there does not seem to be any movement.

I will post a pic of it later when I take it out and update about movement.

:):):)

I found your design very interesting. Can you give more details to buy and build it? I would like to do the same because it looks much simpler to manufacture than others. There is only one material at once? the silicone is not too soft to prevent the stent from sliding in one direction or the other? how did you smooth the tips? how did you attach the recovery line?
the silicone that you use is this one? same diameter?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01CUPV9KC/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1500436169&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=4mm+od+2mm+id+teflon&dpPl=1&dpID=41d2WLNIVVL&ref=plSrch
Personally I have a Prince albert piercing so I will attach the other end of the line to my piercing I do not need a ring so that we will see absolutely nothing from inside.
Having made several urinary infections with catheters I hate to be able to test the stent that seems to limit very strongly that!
in the meantime I'm going to do what I read in another post, it's by using the catheters to make a small hole on the side, I think that actually having the urine flowing into the ureter must be good against infections, in addition, the feeling of feeling the urine run inside must be extra. While waiting for your return and links on amazon if possible to buy all that is necessary. I thank you in advance

sebt: that tubing you linked to on amazon is not silicone, that's teflon, it goes inside the silicone tubing which has an od of 6mm and an id of 4mm.

To attach the line to the stent, drill a 1mm hole in the teflon tube and thread the braided fishing line (buy braid 15lb strain as it's much more supple and better than mono filament) into it before inserting into the silicone. Tie it to the o-ring when it's inserted to get the length just right. Allow just enough so the o-ring is close to your penis head when erect, this helps in stopping the stent sliding into your bladder.

As for smoothing the tips, I use a very sharp exacto type scalpel blade, chamfer the end then you can smooth it some more with a soldering iron. For the end that sits in your urethra, use the small end caps as shown in other threads or try folding the silicone in on itself (I've achieved this once but never again :/ )

Thank you for your answers. I am french and I have trouble with english sorry. I'm not sure I understand some steps despite the pictures on fetlife. Could you give me the link of the video on youporn? is there on youporn the video of the making? do you have links on amazon or elsewhere to buy silicone and teflon tubing ?
because if I understand correctly I have to buy a teflon tubing for the inside and a silicone tubing for the outside.

I saw that you sterilized the stent in boiling water. Until now I did it in bleach a little diluted what do you think?

thank you

so finally after what seems like forever, I have replicated a working stent along Ferix's design that is almost not noticeable other than the retrieval line and periodic dribble or uncontrollable flash flood. when I started with this design I couldn't even get it in an inch, now I have a stent in and it's somewhat comfortable and I'm having "accidents" so I'm happy, hopefully I can keep it in overnight and wake up soaked (preferably not leaking) but I'd say that things are working :)

Update: everything was great until I started to get an erection and boy did that hurt, maybe I have the outer end too long

The last couple of weeks I’ve been testing a stent which only can be retrieved with a crochet hook and I like it a lot. There is literally nothing sticking out of penis, even the mild irritation one might experience due to the retrieval line is gone. Same thing applies if you get an erection, there is nothing pulling inside your body, the stent simply moves along. So far every attempt to retrieve the stent has proven to be successful. Needless to say I hope it will stay that way so far I have no indication it won’t.

I built a stent today virtually identical to the pictures posted by Cathdiap.  Attempting to use it didn't go well.

I have very little experience with sticking things up my urethra.  I own some metal sounds that I played with a little bit about a year ago and that is it.  I have never used a catheter.  I just have a few questions about other's experiences with their stents.

How do you know when it is inserted properly?  I used one of my metal sounds as a pusher and was never successful in getting free flowing urine.  The sounds are 8 inches long and I pushed until only about an inch of sound was showing out of my urethra.  When withdrawing the sound, I feel like the stent was following it out for about the first two inches.

I eventually gave up and removed it.  It was pretty uncomfortable (definitely painful, but not excruciating by any means) and I was unable to get free flowing urine.  After pulling it up, peeing for the first time was pretty painful.  It has been about five hours since I removed it and urinating still hurts, but it has lessened.  I have drank about 80 ounces of water since removing it and will continue drinking a lot until all discomfort has gone.

I'll be waiting for at least a few days before trying again.  Any advice?

Have you done any catheter play in the past?  While Cathdiap is undoubtedly the expert here his design takes some time adjusting for your body. Making a stent from a 16FR Foley is much softer  and easier for the first time users. But I don't recommend stent play until one has mastered cath play.

As for measuring where to place your stent.  next time you have a Foley in place mark the catheter at the point where it exits your penis. Once you remove the Foley trasfer the distance to whatever you are using as a pusher too,

hi everyone i have been reading this thread for some time and have played with stents some with some success. my best result was with nasal cannula tubing about 6in long with the ends built up with hotmelt glue the end in the bladder a bell shape and the outher end a ball both roughly 3/8in. i made and used several i was able to install and remove them working them in and out pushing through the skin up till the last time i was able to retreve them the last one i think was a little shorter and i could not get it out. left it in about 5 months and then i went to a hospital to have it removed. if i play with stents again i will use a retreval line. i seam to be prone to uti and had to take antibiotics to clear them the last time i did not get a uti but i was taking  antibiotics for another problem i had hometool

I would never ever put in any home made devices in to my urethral. It’s too dangerous, it could tear or damage your urethral and would be very costly if needed for repair. I would stick with sounds or Foley catheter use. These tools are made to enter the bladder, if you want to play stick with catheter. But that just me thinking about your safety.

I suppose the best thing to do is not to stick anything inside your body that doesn’t belong there, it is as simple as that, but we are human. Some of us, like me, have a tendency to do things which are probably not the smartest thing to do, but we do them regardless for we have to follow up on some strange desire.

That said, I think both catheter and stent play can be done safely, that is my opinion than again, I am no doctor. I started out with catheters some 12 years ago but they didn’t do it for me. For sure I started to wet my diaper without control yet couldn’t feel myself pee, something you do using a stent. Further I found I was not able to keep the catheter in for an extended period of time due to bacterial growth which I considered a high risk for an UTI. A catheter however is a good methodology to get acquainted with the sensation of forwarding something true your urethra and into your bladder, you’ll learn how your body will react to the different stages. I never tried the holey foley method myself.

A stent isn’t a permanent thing if you attach a proper retrieval line to it. The trick is to learn how to make one, completely tweaked to your personal likings and measurements, no two man (or woman) are alike. It is of the upmost importance to keep it sturdy in place without any hinder or allow it to migrate. I have no idea how much of the content regarding the subject has been damaged, but you’ll should be able to find some info and pictures about the subject here in this forum. There are I couple of self-imposed rules I live by as it comes to making and installing a stent or catheter for that matter. Work hygienically. If it hurts or becomes uncomfortable stop. If you want to experiment with catheters or a stent, install whatever you want to install but do it yourself, that way you are always in full  control of what’s happening. So far I never had a UTI or any other issues like blood loss or severe pain in the region. I only had to deal with bladder spasms and cramp in the beginning of my endeavor.
