Diaper Pin Question - help please!

This may be a dumb question, but I'm having some issues here!

I recently got a leakmaster guaze diaper, but had quite a bit of trouble getting it pinned up (first time with cloth).

Can anyone please share some tips/good pins to get? The pins I have are maybe too large (2.5"?) and I have issues getting them through the cloth without worry of stabbing myself.

Are the standard size "baby" pins too small for you? It's a shame the big ones didn't work out--I find them perfect for my own diapers. Perhaps you might consider using a Snappi? You can get those from Amazon.

I always lubricate my diaper pins by sticking the point into a bar of soap.

I use Dritz pins or Boingo fasteners from Changing Times Diaper Co. Some of the adult pins aren't

very sharp and are hard to use.

you'll need to pin up slowly. i sometimes stick myself if i go too fast, lol but practice makes perfect and before long you'll get the hang of pinning up, even if you don't get faster it will be fine.

Make sure the point is sharp. Just like knives, the dull ones will hurt you more because you're using too much force. Use bar soap and slowly work the pin through the cloth by rotating it as you stick it through. This will make sure it doesn't get caught then jab you when it breaks through.

Rod Cox , Salem,Or Has nice locking head diaper pins very sharp nice size for adult diapers. Look him up on line.

All I wear is cloth so pins make it easy if they are sharp.I have used many kinds...Gerber and so on and when I find a pair that work
