Fresh Beginnings

This would be TK's 17th birthday. and he was the oldest of the children of the orphanage. He was suffering from

Kris and her husband had been trying to have a child for years. After having no other options of having a child of their own, they decided to finally adopt and were in the orphanage that way, looking for their new child that would soon become part of their family. She felt excited at finally being able to become a mother. "Oh honey, this is so exciting!" She said to her husband

Leon smiled to Kris. "I know sweetheart. Are you ready to find our child?"

TK was going to find himself a snack. Something to help make his birthday special.

Kris nodded as she held her husband's hand and went to see the children and that's when they spotted TK. She didn't know why but just at first sight, she had a strange feeling about him so she went to approach him. "Hey, sweetie. Do you live here?" She asked curious about whether or not TK was an orphan

TK was zoned out and took a second to answer. "Hmm yeah I've lived her since I was ten. How can I help?" TK was for the most part still a nice person even with all of his problems.

Leon let Kris do all the talking.

"Oh my, that has been a long time." Kris said as she looked to her husband with a knowing look and back at TK. "Well, my husband and I are looking to adopt someone from here." She said

[Sephy]

"I'm guess you would like to see the nursery" TK replied as he lead the couple there. He was use to how this adoption thing work out for him.

Leon nodded back to Kris.

"Oh... the nursery.. Uh.." Kris looked at Leon and spoke to him softly about how

[Sephy]

"All my love. Let get the paperwork started so we can take him home" Leon stated.

TK was still mostly out of it, but was still trying to lead them to the nursery.

Kris gave Leon a kiss and smiled happily and turned back to TK. "Sweetheart. What is your name? We would really like to adopt you." She said hopefully

TK gave the couple a slightly shocked look. He really thought this day would never come. He lost hope around the age of fourteen. "My name is TK" He said while he got his mind straight.

[Anon17a]

"TK huh? Well I'm Kris and my husband's name is Leon. TK. We would really like to adopt you and want you to be a part of our family. So will you let us do that?" Kris asked

[Sephy]

"Are you sure you want me?" TK

[Anon17a]

Kris nodded. "Well, to be honest. We were looking for a baby but the moment I saw you... I just.. It felt right. Plus, you've been here far too long, it's time for you to get out." She said and smiled.

[Sephy]

TK smiled weakly as he led the way to the office. "We'll have to fill out the paperwork real quick before we leave"

Kris nodded as she got the paperwork sorted out with Leon. She was over the moon with joy having a new son. Even though, he was not the age she had hoped for, she cared for him nonetheless.

[Sephy]

After Leon signed the papers he thanked the orphanage's staff while he led his new son and wife to the car. "I guess we should head to the mall and get TK some better clothes"

"Yeah that sounds good." Kris said as she looked back at Leon. "So sweetie, tell us more about yourself."

[Sephy]

"Well..... I'm about the start my last year at high school. I've been kind of struggling lately. And today is my birthday" TK said still in his grey tone of voice.

[Anon17a]

"Your birthday?! Wow that makes today even more extra special then." Kris said excitedly.

[Sephy]

"You're right honey. We should go somewhere special" Leon stated.

TK began smile slightly again.

"Yes, we should go to that place we went the other day. They had such good food." Kris said as smiled.

[Sephy]

Leon nodded and drove to the restaurant.

Once at the restaurant, they had a small birthday dinner with TK and even got him a cake that he could blow from. After dinner, they went shopping for some clothes for TK where they bonded with him more and shared a few laughs together. Once home, Kris showed TK to his new room where he would be staying from now on and even explained how she didn't work but her husband was a scientist. The new family spent some time together and then Kris started to ask about TK's past.
