technomonkey
If you wear diaper to the University of Michigan hospital and you have surgery hope your experience is better than mine. Link to comment
WakkoWannaBe
That does suck, but I believe that some hospitals have anti-diapering policies. Not sure why. Link to comment
billy1234
I think the anti diapering policy have come about by the overuse of them in hospitals putting old people in a diaper just because their old etc here in the UK there have several incidents of old people going in continent and coming out in diapers because that was the go to toilet option instead of nurses taking them to the toilet etc Link to comment
wetatnight
hospitals should have diapers for people that need them 1 Link to comment
Baby Brian
All hospitals have diapers for their patients, or can easily get them when needed. This is regardless of any policies they may have. If any hospital refuses to get you decent diapers that work (especially if you truly need them), then all you need to do is speak up. Complain to enough people (your doc especially), and they will get you what you need. Link to comment
Santiago
Why would you want to use hospital diapers anyway? They are the cheapest things out there with debatable effectiveness. Link to comment
Bettypooh
This topic has come up before. It seems that some hospitals no longer have diapers, preferring to use only chux so as to supposedly keep the skin drier and healthier Whatever your personal needs are, it's best to discuss them with your doctor and the hospital beforehand when you can so that things like this don't happen. When you sigh the admission papers you are giving them the right to decide how to deal with you until you're released and unless other arrangements are made you're going to get whatever their standard procedure is, whicgh is usually inadequate diapers at best If you need them, ask about supplying your own- it's the smart thing to do Link to comment
