Its funny they talk about it lowering your IQ, some of the smartest people I know smoke pot.

Studies like this have been done for decades. It is a well known fact that yes, pot/smoking/alcohol will hinder a developing brain. And brains don't stop developing until almost 25 years old.

It is not an automatic sentencing that you will not still end up being smart, but it is a high indicator that you will not reach your full potential.
