Favourite things about writing a story

Seeing that we enjoy writing stories it got me thinking about something, What is everyone's favourite things about writing a story and what is it about writing a story that everyone really likes the most

I like creating characters, choosing a location, and finally watching the plot unfold. I am currently drafting a new novel entitled Ever After. It is in the "thinking" stages right now, but I have some solid ideas and a location. I just need to pick some character names and start writing. It'll take a while to write it; usually 4-6 months depending on how much time I can dedicate to writing. On my days off from work, I'm "addicted" to making more little girl outfits.

One of the things that I like writing is that I like to live out my fantasies like putting myself in and playing out my play ages as well as doing it the way I want

Putting in my real feelings and experience and thoughts. Sometimes I like comedy and will put it in. People can probably tell I love drama because my stories have drama in them. I also find some people interesting so I may put their quirks in my story just so everyone in my story is different, not the same.
