BigC300
I have found I drool much less sucking a breast instead of a pacifier. Possibly due to the breast filling the mouth more. Link to comment
Thad
there are times i drool on my pillow but there are other times where i wake up in the middle of the night becuase my mouth is as dry as the desert, lol i can't sleep with a paci in because it feels weird to me plus i only have the nuk 5 and the nuk 7 which is longer then the 5 but other than that it's the same. i prefer the 7 more but it needs to be bigger... not sure if i just have a big mouth or what, lol Link to comment
Savoy
I tend to droll a lot when sucking on pacifier, so often I wake up with a wet spot too. On other hand, sometimes I droll even without it and sometimes I wake up with dry mouth. I don't really know how it works Link to comment
pax87
Pacifiers cause me some drooling. Thumb sucking not so much. Link to comment

Baby Sammy
Whenever I'm suckling on mine and get carried away or in the spirit I always end up drooling and normally by that point it's all gibberish and cuddling with my mommy. It seems to be more of an on and off switch with me I suppose, pop it in and it's go time. Link to comment
SalsaQueen
I think a guy drooling while sucking a pacifier is so adorable. 2 Link to comment
widdlemikey
Funny, paci has the opposite affect on me. Link to comment
Baby Brian
I think I figured out why. You drool with a pacifier in because the pacifier isn't big enough. When you fall asleep and relax your mouth it opens a bit more than even a nuk5 and you drool. I have a larger (modified) adult sized pacifier and when I fall asleep with that one I don't drool. Using a smaller nuk5 I will drool- that is if it doesn't fall out first. Link to comment
ucfguy475
Where were you able to find a pacifier larger than a nuk5? That's what I've been using at night to prevent clenching my jaw while I'm sleeping, but it doesn't stay in very well. I'd be willing to go up a size or so, just not sure where to shop. Baby Brian
I ordered mine years ago from a link that was on DPF. I don't even know if anyone modifies/makes pacifiers large enough for us any more, sorry. Link to comment
ucfguy475
That's alright, I appreciate the info. I'll have to keep an eye out, see what I can find. Update: I found that baby pants sells a product they describe as the equivalent of a nuk6, which is a larger size nipple and mouth guard. I put one on order, along with another of their great onezies. Link to comment
