What I find interesting about this post is the people who are interested meeting other DL's.  How may of those people have their location listed in their profile?  Even their state or general area?  Seems to me if you are really interested in meeting another DL you would have your state or general location as part of your profile in order to first draw out some interested people in your area who might like to chat a bit and make an on site friend.  From there, who knows what might happen down the road after getting to know someone on this site first?  Seems to me you would have a better chance if others in your area knew that you also lived fairly close by.  It also gives you other topics to message about other than diapers.  Example, "Have you ever been to the big antique car show they have every year in......"  or, "Weather's getting really nice now. The amusement park (Cedar Point, Great America, Etc.) is open now and I sure enjoy the roller coasters.  You ever go there much?"

I agree. I know a few of our members are in the Seattle area, but the few I chatted with prefer to keep to themselves, completely understand, but still I'd like to meet another DL out here, preferably someone who plays the same MMO's that I do as I'm a gamer or just wants someone to hang out with at a theater to watch the latest flick or is a member of the furry fandom.. or all 3.  :)

Sadly I don't have any DL or Furry friends, so I'm usually either online or at work.

Depends on the MMO I feel ;).  FF14 wasn’t bad but I got bored of it quickly. I still play WoW, been on the beta for BfA since it was in alpha. Can’t say it’s blowing me away at the moment, not sure I want to keep playing it since mythic raiding takes up a lot of time.   As for Seattle I know there use to be a lot of ABDL here that use to hang out with one another but that was before I left the story forums lol.

You're a MMO gamer too?  I also play FFXIV and WoW!  Faerie and Suramar servers respectfully!  I quit hard-core raiding around Cataclysm, but play raid finder/casual.  I too also love seeing movies (But they're a little pricey, so I have to pick which ones I see at home or in theaters).

Cenarius for alliance and Blackrock for horde. Still on the fence for BfA but I did just try FF14 again a few months ago. It isn’t bad but I lose interest quickly. Most of mine time now a days in gaming I LoL, Overwatch, BfA beta or dragon age. I am looking forward to Pokémon let’s go: Pikachu/Eevee.

Oh so am I!  When I heard about Pokemon Lets Go, I told my boyfriend that there was no question that we were getting Eevee.  My desk presently has a Sylveon, Vapoeron, and Lefeon plush, and my nightstand with the Build-A-Bear Eevee and a smaller Sylveon.  Oh, and a large Mimikyu and small Pikipek. (I might have an obsession?)

I couldn't get into LoL, but I did get into Heroes of the Storm.  From my understanding, similar game, different companies.  Overwatch I was SO bad at .  FPS have to be my weak point.

So LoL is based on Dota.  Dota was a custom made made for the RTS Warcraft 3.  Some of the people that worked on Dota went off and started riot games just to make LoL, the other main designer got hired by valve to make Dota 2.  Heroes of the storm is blizzards version of these two games.  It takes more teamwork since there aren't any items to buy, in Dota and LoL you need teamwork but at lower levels of play one person can carry the game if they're good.

As for Pokemon I use to have the full Eevee evolution line in plushies but I gave them to my coworkers daughters.

In FFXIV I play on Famfrit mostly, though I could make another alt. I have several. On Famfrit I'm usually a miqo'te  named Nyte Kitsune, who's my main (pld, whm, sam, nin, smn, sch and drg at 70) then a few other alts to play other races , one other miqo'te, 2 Au'ra and a lala. When I played WoW I played on Sentinels, but haven't played WoW in 2 years of so.

How did this thread turn into a gaming thread all of a sudden?

Normally when my diaper drops it’s time for a change ;)

The problem is what the motivation is for meeting.  For example take a quick look on the meeting place forum on here.  Each thread is a mixture of people wanting to meet for a hook up or to be changed by somebody.  Any other thread is people wanting to meet up an wear nappies together.

I have never ventured out into the community but speaking personally I don't think I want any of the above, what I wouldn't mind is a friend who I could go out for a drink with and the subject of nappies and everything that goes with it isn't off the table.

This type of ABDL interaction seems pretty rare and in truth how likely is it you will meet somebody of a similar age group with similar interests who sometimes happens to like acting like a baby.

That is me as well.  I had a DL friend for over 10 years who was a member here until he passed away last July.  We went fishing in my boats and several times a year we went to lunch at the local Chinese buffet.  We talked about everything from politics, hobbies, his golf and my trips to the casino.  Family, his wife and grand children.  True, we also had our diapers on under our cloths when at the buffet and when way out in the boat with no one else around we would usually take the pants off on a hot day and fish in just our shirts and diapers.  We might talk about something that someone said here in the chat room or talk about diapers, but that was just one part of it all.  Basically it was more about 2 friends getting together to go fishing or out to lunch, not roll play or change each other's diapers (never would have even gone there).  True, we were both wearing diapers but that wasn't the sole purpose when getting together as friends.

Yep, agree completely.  Mind you, being able to meet people online like on this forum has made such a big difference.  For most of my life there's been no way of communicating with other ABs at all.  Back 30 years for a few years I finally did get to contact other ABs & just chat, at parties run by Hazel Jones, in Kent.  That worked pretty well.  The talk went all over the place, we were mostly dressed up, & we had a few drinks.  Nothing like that since though.

There is definitely merit to meeting people in person (though I have not) because as you say it could help.  I think the AB meetups are great for people in their early twenties because they seem to be building solid support networks.

I just don't think I could see myself 'dressed up' in front of people I barely know.

Basically you built a vanilla friendship that enabled you both to feel free enough to let that side of you out.  Exactly as it should be.  Sorry you lost a great friend.

It was terrifying the first time I did it.  But I started out in my street clothes & no nappy.  Then others in nappies or fully dressed were around as well, & eventually after a drink or two I went upstairs, put in my nappy and a onesie, and rejoined the party.  Never looked back after that really.
