Honu
What about washing them? The elastic is covered with a woven material that can retain urine. I agree that there is an advantage to a fastener that does not weaken areas of the diaper, but it is essential that the fastener be sanitized like the diaper and the waterproof pants. I'm a 32 waist and make my own prefolds. I do have a serger and zig-zag capable machine and have found an advantage to organic birdseye and gauze material when it is available. Because I make my own, I can make them wide enough that a Snappi 2 works great. Link to comment
Baby Brian
So what is the best way type of fastener to use for thick cloth diapers? I've been using old fashioned pins so I can get a tight fit, but it doesn't look like those bedbands would get a tight fit out of them, let alone work on thick diapers. Will they? Link to comment
