Wait, did someone say COOKIES!!! You can't go wrong with old fashioned, soft baked, chocolate chip cookies. Of course there will always be the other half of people who like plain old, dried out, machine made, and very plain peanut butter cookies. Sure many others out there are out-right allergic to peanuts but you may think peanut butter cookies are still the right choice. And sure maybe they are for you but you have to consider everyone as a whole, and as such they aren't the right choice after all.

Vote for Chocolate Chips 2012!!!

Like I'm going to believe something a left wing smear site says!

"When the people find they can vote themselves money,

that will herald the end of the republic."

Ben Franklin

What do you think is the interpretation of that quote? It could easily refer to lobbyists, corruption, greed, the current campaign finance laws, etc. Anyways, Ben Franklin owned slaves. I would not trust Ben Franklin on matters of equality ever. Besides, Tom Paine as a founding father is 10x better, rofl. He is the true renegade of his time.

You're allowed to believe what you want, but your attitude of dismissing that which conflicts with your worldview is exactly why Republicans got their asses handed to them in the election.Ignore the truth at your own peril.

Asses handed to them hardley! 58 Million SMART Americans voted for Romney!

BHO received less votes then he did the first time!

Hey smart guy, Republicans still control the House.

We lost cause we're not sugar daddy, to give everything away Obama Drones

58 million voted Romney.

Including every rapist in the US, excited at the prospect of giving women 'gifts from god' because their acts were 'legitimate' if they got them pregnant, and knowing that 'some girls rape easy'.

Next time, Republicans, organise yourselves better. Don't wait until the last minute to pick your candidate, don't make it one who you turned down for Palin, don't make it the man with one of the world's craziest religions, don't make him a flip-flopper, and don't make it a man who endorses rape apologists.

Come on people, this thread was taken over by COOKIES!!!!

Doesn't anyone think this is a better topic than arguing over something that has already happened, and no matter what you say the other person has already made up their mind and quite obviously dug in on that decision no matter what you may want them to thin (or realize), and even if you could get them to change their minds you still have to know it's too late to do any good any ways. I mean really, at this point everyone is just arguing for the sake of arguing. If you want to continue then please do so at the Senate Office Building, United States Senate, Washington, DC 20510.

I digress, please vote Chocolate Chip Cookies or Peanut Butter Cookies. My official is Chocolate Chip.

No way, I am voting for the Girl Scout party. The Samoas, also known as Carmel de-Lites, make an excellent pick for President. They have the full package with the cookie crust, vanilla, caramel, chocolate, and best of all coconut. The Samoas also have a great running mate, Thin Mint. The best part about Thin Mints is they are simple. You know what you getting, which eliminates the chance the cookie might be a flip-flopper.

Well, those are my favorite girl scout cookies with samoas being my favorite obviously.

Well since flames are spewing from both sides I guess I can throw my opinion into rage fest.

I'm a christain and I really didn't like ether president to be honest. One is in a cult and the other stands for killing babies (call it what you will you're still killing a human life), one stands against traditional marriage and one for it.

Also one wants to create jobs and promote working. While the other wants to create bigger government by making the rich pay for their success and hard work.

Although I can't stand Romney being a Mormon I voted based on his biblical values. Although I'm not sad that he lost I got sick of all these Christians trusting in man and not in God. So no matter what I have no fear of what happens to this country. If god us for me then who came be against me?

Ultimately I voted for Romney for his biblical values but I'm not sad that he lost. I wouldn't want to spend four years explaining the difference between Mormonism and Christianity.

Also I'm not looking for a debate if we don't believe the same thing then how could we ever see eye to eye on any controversial topic? I respectfully disagree with your opinion but i will still respect your opinion and i ask that you do the same.

forbidden, you show your ignorance once again!

There you go again calling someone names because you don't know how to do anything else. You're just like a parrot. You can speak but you can only repeat what you hear and since you listen to the likes of Fox News, Bill O'reilly, Glen Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham all you're able to do is keep repeating what you hear.

Hugs,

Freta

This is the problem with the majority of the Republican party. They're getting their news from the likes of FOX News, Limbaugh, and the rest of their ilk who are completely divorced from reality. There are intelligent conservative news sources available, but the Republican base won't listen to them because they deal in facts and don't operate inside of an echo chamber. David Frum is one example of the type of person that I'm talking about. He's conservative, but he deals in facts, even when those facts don't work in his favor.

If the Republican base doesn't begin to embrace facts soon, they can expect to lose every major election from now on. Michael Steele has said that he believes the Republicans could go the way of the Whigs if they don't get their act together. This doesn't mean that the Democrats will win every election though. What will likely happen is that the conservative Democrats will splinter into a new party that picks up the few remaining moderate Republicans, and the Republican party will fade away the same way that the Whigs did.

So, there is this thing called separation of church and state. When you vote by your religion you are in fact demonstrating the exact principle this country was NOT founded on. You are voting for a certain religious belief to be made a law. This is in direct violation of separation of church and state, because one person's religious doctrine is often in contrast to another's.

Lets take a trip down history lane to 1802 when the baptists wrote to thomas jefferson because connecticut wanted to raise taxes for another religion. Mr. Thomas Jefferson (one of those founding fathers everyone speaks so fondly of) writes "The original text reads: "Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between Church and State."

and thus the separation of church and state - basically the government cannot make laws to allow or disallow religions, and it works the other way, someone should not come into power and make laws simply becuase their religion does not allow something i.e. gay marriage, abortion, helping the poor (oh no wait, all of hte major religions say you should help those less fortunate than you.... )... but yeah...

again separation of church and state.

Sarah, two things.

1. Some people don't believe in separation of church and state and genuinely believe the US was founded on 'Judeo-Christian values'. They get out of the Establishment Clause by saying it referred to different Christian sects, rather than religions, and that Freedom of Religion only applies to Christians.

2. Regardles of that, even within a secular nation, people are still entitled to vote their values, and if they take their values from a religion (or at least, their values line up with their religion), then they have every right to prioritise those values.

Read the first one again. These people vote the bible because they don't care about said separation. They think it's the enemy. They just want the closest thing possible to a theocracy.

I gladly accept another 4 years of barrack obama. I also voted to same sex marriage and legalizing marijuana in washington state. Both of which passed. Living with what i voted for is damned good!

Since Obama got into office I finished college, got accept to graduate school and was able to afford to attend thanks to federally funded student loans and grants. I was able to find a better job FOR THE GOVERNMENT and have doubled my salary and already received two promotions w/ nice pay raises.

I have improved my credit and been able to purchase a brand new 2012 suv, I was able to purchase property and take vacations multiple times a year.

When bush was president I was paying 4.50 and more a gallon for gas. Now i pay 3.39 a gallon for gas, thats over a dollar less. When bush was president i qualified for fewer student loans, and there were fewer student loan repayment options open to me. When bush was president I lived in fear that as a woman my right to have power over my own body could be stripped from me.

What please, whatever me all you want.

I was talking at work with a coworker and what amazes me the most is when presented with scientific fact, proven with math and science and cold hard tangible truth, some people simply will not allow themselves to accept it, but rather continue to believe the lies they are told.... the reason Romney and Ryan were so 'shell shocked' when they lost was because their own people were lying to them this entire year about the real statistical truth about their 'chances' of winning.... because there was never any chance.... and when people were told outright "no thats a lie" for example when GM called out romney and say none of that is true and here is hte proof.... for some reason people just turned a blind eye...

I guess its the same way some people insist the holocaust never happened.... despite mountains of proof they are insistant its all a lie.

I've said it before, but your results are NOT typical of what has happened under Barrack Obama.

Since Obama was elected in 2008, manufacturing has been mostly running scared (I read the ISM numbers, which are better to analyze than the Department of Labor, and I talk to people in the industry, since I work in it) and mostly been either trying to replenish or beat whatever Obama and/or Congress can do to get their products out to beat another crash. This running scared has cost me a great entry level job in manufacturing which was paying pretty well for the amount of experience and the area I live in. I now work for a scumbag company that is run by Democrats that proudly voted for Obama and lie to us, hold down our wages (I make about 20% less than I did in 2008 and in real dollars, am at about my early 2007 pay scale).

I was able to buy a house because of Obama's rebate plan, but now things have gotten tight (even though we borrowed far below what we were eligible to borrow) because inflation is far outpacing increases in pay (I actually haven't seen a raise in over 18 months, and I know there are people who have been longer without one).

Government jobs aren't even safe - I had a relative who had to fear losing one in another state, but they tested and were able to move into another position. I had another relative lose a good paying sales job they had for many years because they restructured the company when GM and Chrysler went south (they did the restructuring slowly and he was one of the last to lose his jobs and was too late to move into one of the new positions created because of that). It took almost 2 years for them to find another job.

The student loan thing has put my wife's student loans in the hands of Sallie Mae, who bungled half of everything with my student loans (and I was so glad that when I paid my loan off, I didn't have to deal with them again - looks like I was wrong).

And I am tired of this phony "War on Women". Obamacare is more of a war on people than words (and even if there were any, bills that wouldn't pass the Senate, for sure) could truly ever be.

Forbidden, the facts are that it was a Senatorial candidate who (rightfully) defeated soundly who made those comments. It was not a full Republican Party endorsement as the leftist media makes it sound. Also, with the way the Primary system works, the candidate was picked at the time they could be picked. The Democrats will have to face the same issue in 2016 (and they don't have anyone good at the moment, so the door for the Republicans is wide open). Obama wasn't primaried at all (even though he was in the same position as Bush in 2004 - weak President with no real vision and chasing too many shiny objects).

And Sarah, no one was lying as much as no one could figure out what the turnout was going to be. Both sides had models that didn't pan out and were incorrect, but were slightly closer to the Democrats.

And, for the record, I voted Gary Johnson, because neither Obama nor Romney are good enough to even hold my jock strap.

Nate Silver predicted 300+ electoral votes to obama and called EVERY SINGLE state correctly including florida.... almost all major republicans and fox news did everything they could to discredit him..... yet his math was correct. It held up in the 2008 election and it held up this time. He wasn't lying, and he wasn't wrong, and those of us who knew he was correct never worried... i never worried, his math was sound.

How can I not vote for my christian values? Christian come from the Herbrew language which means "Christ like". We've all fallen short of the glory of god since Adam and eve but if we trully love god then we will try to be as much like him as possible which is why we call ourselves Christians.

So as a christian I stand for what is good and fight against what is sinful. That is at the voters box and in day to day conversations or any other part of my life. Sure I'm wicked I've finally broken free from pornography and I have never been happier.

Lastly we are called to hate the sin but love the sinner. We don't hate gays or woman who aborted their child. I know many in the church who have sinned in different ways.

Infact my best friend is a homehosexual he made the mistake of coming out of the closet in his freshman year and all the guys would bully him to know end in the locker rooms and I was the only one who would ever stand up for him. ( Im a big dude and I played lineman for four years so no one wanted to mess with me) we became best friends and still hang out almost daily. He even started coming to church which has me very excited.
