padded_husky
It has been a while since I have been on here but I noticed The other day during my Routine diaper shopping (currently double stuff CVS brand diapers for use) that Depends has not only changed the packaging on there bags of diapers, but has made a few adjustments to there products Particularly the Depends Protection with Tabs (http://www.depend.co...s/19740_pkg.jpg) formally known as Depends "Maximum Protection". I have looked to see if anyone has mentioned this before or if there where any reviews on the new (or what looks like new) depends diapers. If you look at the packaging in the link I posted, you can see that there are no wings for the front of the diaper but only wings for the back. I was wondering if this is actually the case for the diapers or is the packaging deceiving? Also, I would like to know if this improves them any stating that the diapers are actually different as the image implies. The following link is a picture of the older packaging for comparison (http://www.viceland..../07/depends.jpg) and as you can see, the older diapers obviously had wings for both the front and back of the diaper. I have also noticed that the image in the Depends Adjustable Briefs as well as there website implies that the new packaged Depends Adjustable Briefs leg holes are more curved then previously before (http://www.depend.co...ducts/19183.jpg) (http://www.northshor...justable-sm.jpg). The last time I tried the Depends Adjustable Briefs, the leg holes where square and not rounded so they did absolutely nothing to protect against leakage. in the link above, they make it look like they are more curved. As a comparison, The following link (http://www.overstock...36000191837.jpg) is a image of the older packaging and as you can see the image of the diaper on it is more square. I was just wondering if anyone has tried Either of these two products made by Depends in the new Packaging and if there are changes to there design. I was just wondering if the changes to these products are what they imply in there advertisement, if they improve them at all. I would try them personally and have thought about doing so but I don't have the money to spend on experimenting at the moment or else I would. Also, I am fully aware that store brand diapers and Depend diapers are not as absorbent...etc as other brands online like Bambinos or Dry 24/7. Again, I was just wondering if I was the only one who noticed or if anyone else has noticed as well and if anyone has tried them. ^^ Link to comment
daddy-jonny
looks like the return of plastic diaper to me Link to comment
Repaid1
Strangely enough yes. But it was my wife that noticed it. She got me a bag of them and while I normally don't use them except for emergency. I never noticed the bag. She asked me a few days later if she got the right ones? I was like what. It was while we were out at Kmart looking for something and she showed me the bag, they had both. So I went home and sure enough my bag was the new one. To comment. They are exactly the same thing as before. Although I think I noticed a slight change in the plastic, a bit more "Softer" if that makes sense? I would assume they just changed the bags again on all of their items. I looked at the bag again and they do say Maximum Absorbancy on the bottom of the "Protection with tabs" banner. So anyway yes they do have a front the same as they did. Link to comment
battlemage
Yeah, I bought a pack of the Protection with Tabs because I was curious how a diaper with no front wings would work out. It was basically the same thing as the old Maximum Protection. Wings on front and back, plastic backing, whole nine yards. Link to comment
AutieAB
In other words, they probably renamed the product to make it seem 'less diapery' Link to comment
battlemage
Yeah, basically. And changed the package so it no longer looks like the same thing. Link to comment
diaperedandloveit
I am currently wearing these now and they are the same as they were in the other package. The packaging was the only thing that changed. Link to comment
mbs80
I agree that they seem the same as the older "Maximum Protection" packaging. I have been inserting two smaller pads into them for wearing and was surprised that they hold quite a bit. However, on a sadder note, I stopped into my Walgreen's tonight, went past the diaper aisle and the store has all of these on clearance and are getting rid of their stock. While i am overjoyed at saving some money on this fetish, now i'll have to find a replacement store or a replacement diaper. Link to comment
dldip360
I wondered this myself. The only difference is the new packaging and name. I just picked up a bag of the "Protection with Tabs" because I was down to my last "Maximum Protection" brief. I set them side by side and they are identical. Link to comment
square_duck
"Protection with Tabs" I didn't know that Riley Kilo had tabs! I guess that makes her easier to hold on to.... ? Link to comment
oklahomatraveler
I agree with everyone else. I have experience with the old packaging and the new. It's the same product - just a different bag. Link to comment
