I would not want my name on their customer list. You know that one day either the owner will get busted for something or one of their other customers will and the company sales records will end up in the hands of the FBI or Interpol. Then you will forever be associated with some undesirable people.

This is AB Universe caterring to youth and teenagers. I don't think the pictures are any different than seeing a huggies commerical with babies crawling or walking in diapers. You have to show your product off some how. They are just trying to portray there product as being something cool and no offensive to an older childern that would have problems wearing a diaper. I find nothing bad about it at all, looks very professional to me.

My opinion on this:

Pampers baby dry etc use pics of real babies in diapers on it. So as long as the child's and parent's permission is asked and they agreed with the photos and it's not in any sexual pose to suggest peadophila.

If the parent's don't agree, them it's child abuse at the very least.

If they do agree, then it's advertising for their product, not for anything alse.

However that company doesn't have the worldwide reputatation and 40 years or so like Pampers does.

Ok. You can make the argument that they are a distributor of diapers for older kids and teens who "may" need them for medical reasons. The biggest problem I have is showing an older kid smiling with about 3 inches or more of his diaper showing out all around the waistband of his jeans! Not only do they show him sitting on the floor playing with a toy fire truck and smiling like he's enjoying wearing diapers, but the adds also show him riding his bike around with no shirt and his diaper showing way out around the waist of his pants! Then there are the pictures of him with his shorts falling way down showing off most of his diaper! You know that didn't happen by accident! There is one picture of him sitting on the ground with the zipper of his jeans open so that you can see he's wearing a diaper!

That looks close to kid porn even though no "privates" are showing. Basically, these adds don't show that older kids who may need to wear protection have a discreet product their parents can choose for them. It shows that if they wear those diapers they will be very obvious to everyone because they stick way out of their pants! Cone on now! People with actual medical problems don't go around with no shirt and their diapers showing out all around their pants! That includes kids with incontinence problems! This company could show a model from the neck down so customers would get an idea of how their products fit if they wanted to. By showing a boy smiling and riding his bike without a shirt on and a diaper showing out his pants for all to see, it just makes it look like a diaper kiddy porn site disguised as an on line store. It's creepy!

Maybe if everyone DID run around like that, they would ban It as well as the fad of running around with your pants down showing three or more inches of your underwear. pretty much the exact same thing only most normal underwear does not have a plastic shell. Frankly that whole (style?) really drives me crazy.

Has anybody actually tried this diaper?

That's what I'm dying to know! The diapers themselves look interesting. I thought I read someone say that they are AU Universe diapers? IS this true? I don't know what to make of this. The pics did make me feel very uncomfortable, especially the one with him unbuttoning his pants to show the diaper. But the diapers themself look great! I want to know, has anyone bought them, and how are they!?

I called the phone number listed on the site, a guy answered and we talked for a bit.

I asked him if Quality Diapers manufacturers their own diapers. He said it's their design, he said "I'm looking at the draft of the diaper on my bulletin board as we speak"

The only other odd thing he said was, when I asked him if they take paypal, he said "we wanted to maintain a professional appearance, due to the nature of the site, you know.. boys, in diapers, so we only take credit cards directly."

I don't know how to decipher what he said, if it was some sort of tongue-in-cheek.. "you know what I mean, wink wink" sort of thing? or if he just meant that due to his choice to market diapers to people with young boys who need to wear diapers because of medical problems that people might think they are some pedo company.

Either way, I took what darboy said, and I looked at ABU's site (I've never bought anything from ABU before) and I noticed that they ARE ABU diapers, re-branded as "Star Diapers". They look identical.

So If I were going to order these, I wouldn't be ordering from the guy who's got the boy on his site, I'd order directly from ABU.

Star Diapers = ABU BMX Diapers

He meant paypal can make a small startup look sketchy, where a full merchant account takes more verification and business sense.

As I understand it Star Diapers is the original design and ABU joined in for the adult sizes.

So Star Diapers designed the diaper, then ABU contacted them in order to make a larger version of it?

Daily Di, can you vouch for Qualitydiapers.net at all? Is this guy okay?

DiaperboyMKE, from what I understand, DailyDi is correct. ABU originally had a cropped version of one of Star Diapers' pictures on their website, (the backlash from which is well documented here,) because they didn't have the actual diapers "in hand," while Star Diapers did. Basically, Star Diapers/Qualitydiapers designed the diapers and ABU just rebranded them and added the larger sizes, at least that's my understanding of the situation.

As for not accepting PayPal, I can understand that for the reasons Di listed. A lot of start ups only take credit/debit cards at first and then expand to offer PayPal once they've built up a reputation.

I ordered some of the bigger ones last night. I'll write a review once they come in the mail.

Yes the guy is okay. He is one of the partners from Tiger Underwear, branching out to diapers at the request of parents that were buying tigers trainers and plastic pants.

Sure, that's why he's selling the catalogs for $100 apiece ($60 for PDF) under guise of a "membership" to the site. Why does one need a "membership" to an e-commerce site that sells physical product? Not to mention, why does one need a "catalog" to order one product?

DD, I know this subject has been done to death already, but I cannot believe how myopic you're being about it, honestly.

It's NOT okay. Look at the pictures, look at how the product is marketed, that's borderline kiddie-porn.

And the fact that he sells hard copy "catalogs" along with a "three-month membership" (to what?) for a hundred bucks a shot.

I'd be curious to see what else comes with that three-month membership...

Really, DD, it's one thing for you to ignore the deep-rooted connections between Kyle and Tiger and say Kyle has plausible deniability, it's something completely different to whitewash Tiger/QD and say there is nothing at all that remotely smacks of pedophilia going on between those two sites.

I've suspected connections between DD and some of the less-than-reputable members of the community for a long time, the statements he's making only further reinforce those suspicions.

I do believe it's time for me to pull all my info from this site, before the feds come a looking.

Not ignoring the Star/Tiger connection... They are the same company! And the catalog sale is VERY creepy, my comments were before he came out with that.

Didn't say you were ignoring the Star/Tiger connection, was just saying that the beast has been quacking and waddling about on webbed feet for some time, and it bums me out that you had to see a photo of the feathers and the bill before you'd admit what sort of beast it was.
