Abu Fabine

I did the same kind of test with attends back in the day, circa 91'-92', and lying flat like that you can generally get tem to take quite a bit. Unfortunately things change quite a bit once someone is wearing it. I am pretty much willing to bet that you will get press out in the crotch area within about 30 minutes of wearing one with about half to three fourths of a gallon in it. Still,.. I really need to pick up a pack of these the next time I have that ten hour car ride.

Too bad the people making these videos have no clue how the polymer reaction works, and sadly enough most consumers see it and think its the greatest comparison...

Too bad sap didn't hold nearly as much urine as it does water, we would have some awesome diapers!

They don't list fabines as being available anywhere :o How totally bizarre!!! They go to all the work and trouble to have this item made...hype the sh*t out of it, get it shipped and distributed...then dump it off their site......:screwy: I guess they could'nt handle all the flack they got over the product....oh well...these guys are a real piece of work....:glare:

I notice they've removed the "X-small" BMX's off their site as well (and noted "limited quantities" on the L's), not to mention any reference to Tiger (the fun folks who make their cloth stuff).

Yep, Kyle is panicking now, the backlash has set in and his sales are in the toilet.

Hmmm...I wonder if he might put the site up for sale???

A sign saying "Under new management" could work wonders! ;)

With that bunch, you'd have to add that none of the former business associates remain and that they will not be back again :o It seems that each of them had large enough issues with so many people that theuir reputation is totally shot forever. I've always said it's more the way you do business than the product or price :baby_bath: They had a great business concept and some distinct products to sell to a waiting market- then they trashed it all in their business approach :crybaby:

Something to think about for someone with the money to do it would be to start a similar business but do it right instead. BHG took that approach and seems to be doing OK  ABU contracted out the product or bought what was available for resale. Anyone with enough capital could easily do that too. The main failure of most adult diaper retailers is to have unfilled orders from customers who don't want to wait :bash: If the customer can get that product elsewhere at a similar price they will B) There isn't much room in the market for adult diapers aimed toward incontinents, but there is just enough room for a couple ABDL specialist companies, and since Bambinos seems to be here to stay then all an enterprenuer would have to do to get the other half is do better than ABU :whistling: And that doesn't seem so hard to do.

The money for trying Fabines never showed up here and I still want to try some but as it stands they may not be here when that happens. Now that we know where they come from ABU can do what they please- I'll order from Buntewindel if I have to. Since I am not going to be a regular buyer I couldn't care less about those details- all I want is a good and thoughtful company to do business with :D

The operative is how much capital that entrepreneur would need to get things started. To get your own private label diaper, no matter how you want it designed, you're buying at least half a container (around 100,000 units) on your initial order, no matter if it's from China or sourced locally. That is a huge capital outlay just for the purchase, never mind warehouse space to stash all those diapers while you're trying to sell them down. I'd bet good money that Kyle is still selling Cushies from his initial order.

The other alternative is to set up your own manufacturing - except that's even more expensive - a complete automated diaper production system will set you back a cool million bucks, then you've got to buy raw material (SAP, fluff, tapes, backing, etc) in huge quantities, particularly if you're doing custom graphic designs. The good news here is, you'd be able to control exactly what sort of product you were selling and make adjustments on the fly, but the startup capital is daunting at best.

Either way, there's a lot of money involved in launching a diaper company. This is why "Still Padded" is still in limbo, and his blog hasn't been updated since late October.

I Never Had any problems with ABU I get all my orders with in 5 business days and that is being shipped from the west coast to the east coast. If I ever asked any questions they where ALL answered with in hours. Bambino on the other hand takes 7 business days to get my order and 99% of the time they don't reply back to emails they don't like or have no answers to + ABU diapers look just like baby diapers and Bambino Quality has gone down BIG time over the last few years. I would bet ABU Does much more business then Bambino does!!

Back on topic slightly .... the new Fabine Safety Plus:

[uPDATE]

Given this is technically a different supplier and a different product to what most people know as "the Fabine", I'll start a new thread for this.

PLEASE SEE THE Buntewindel Fabine Safety Plus TOPIC IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN THIS PRODUCT.

[END UPDATE]

Fasteners are half-sticky and half "velcro/hook-side" style. The decorated landing zone is plastic with a "velcro/loop-style" grid across the entire decorated area.

Its marginally thinner than the Fabine and DryDayz but feels as soft as them both and looks like it contains about as much SAP etc.

Pics available in my Buntewindel Fabine Safety Plus album

I bought a package from ABU and being in Canada then after paying the Fedex charges they were extremely expensive. I found the tapes failed on at least 80% of them. Honestly, there are better diapers out there than those, like Molicare and Abena and for a lot less money.
