lil1inlongbeach
Even though I answered yes to going to an AB nursery if one was close to me more than likely I wouldn't do it. I just don't have the funds that some of these people ask for and I was looking at someone's site recently. She wanted $250/hr. to be your mommy. I'm like that's a lot of money and can add up quick. I'm sure she gets the business or she wouldn't have her price set so high. Link to comment

Mommy Madeline
Think about your evaluation. To maintain my nursery I have to pay rent for the facility every month and rent in Chicago ain't cheap. Then, I have to keep the nursery stocked with dozens of types of disposable diapers in every size (probably close to $5000 in diaper inventory alone - Molicare Super Plus Briefs, Secure X-Plus Printed Briefs, Bambino Teddy Printed Diapers, Bambino Classico Printed Diapers, Bambino Bianco Printed Diapers, Bambino Total Dry Booster Pads, Bambino Quadro Booster Pads, Bambino Duo Booster Pads, Classy Comfort Diapers, ABU Cushies Diapers, ABU Super Dry Kids Diapers, Unique Wellness Briefs, Attends Extended Wear Diapers, Attends Waistband Brief, Assure Brand Briefs, ABU Regular Booster Pads, ABU Ultra Doublers Booster Pads, Abena Abri-Form X-Plus Diapers, Tranquility ATN Diapers), baby powder, baby lotion, baby wipes, baby food, baby formula, cotton swabs, diaper rash ointment, baby oil, petroleum jelly, baby bath wash, baby shampoo, cotton balls, apple juice, grape juice, suppositories, enemas, adult size pacifiers, baby spoons, bottles, a bottle warmer, a baby wipe warmer, toys, books, DVD's, VHS tapes, a TV/VCR/DVD, an adult size highchair, an adult size changing table, an adult size crib, a toddler bed with railings, baby bedding, baby towels, rubber duckies, crib bumpers, mobiles, baby blankets, a rocking chair, plastic matress covers, leather baby bondage ankle cuffs, leather baby bondage wrist cuffs, leather baby bondage collar, leather baby bondage pacifier keeper head harness, leather baby bondage harness, dozens of rubber pants, dozens of plastic pants, electric bill, gas bill (huge this time of year), cell phone bill, Web hosting, cable bill (AB/DL love Cartoon Network and Nick), scads of adult baby and sissy baby clothing, adult baby hair brushes, leather Teddy paddle, peenie petal, adult baby and sissy baby shoes, adult baby and sissy baby wigs, bonnets, mitts, slippers, footie jammies, booties, rubber clothing, plastic clothing, cloth diapers, diaper pail, diaper liners (both cloth and disposable), diaper bags for outings, gasoline for outings, entrance fees into museums, parks, and zoos, bills at McDonald's and Chuck E Cheese and other places I take my clients, stuffed animals, and I haven't even started describing my extensive wardrobe that I must maintain in order to fulfill everyone's fantasies or maintenance supplies like lightbulbs and cleaning supplies. And, I didn't even discuss my time, the hundreds of hours spent answering e-mails, sifting through appointment applications, verifying clients, then finally spending time with them. You get the idea. It ain't all profit. And, I am not greedy. My rate used to be $300/hr, but I lowered it, due to the state of the economy. 1 Link to comment
Mommy Madeline
Or she wants 2 clients for a weekend then RETIRE!!! LilJim, On what planet can one retire on $500? Please, tell me, because I wish to move there. Link to comment
sarah_ab
wow someone is a bit defensive, especially as I have come across three separate mommy's who have links from their profile on this site to their nurseries.... i will say all three charge like $250 an hour, which while i consider an absurd rate.... despite the 'how much it takes me to maintain' it argument... because if you don't have the clientelle to support certain purchases like shelves and shelves full of diapers, then don't buy them.... but i guess these 'mommy's' must be making some sort of business..... and hell if you can find people to pay that much... more power to ya! i wonder thought if the opposite would work... could i charge peeople to come and baby me????? now thats an idea!!! ok i'll charge 100$ an hour to let you baby me, spank me, change me, feed me, bathe me etc... any takers??? LILJIM
LilJim, On what planet can one retire on $500? Please, tell me, because I wish to move there. I was kidding to a point. $500 no. if you notice I said (a weekend) 72hours x( $250x2 )= $36000.... Truely not enough to retire on but alot more than I make in 1 year. So the nurcery is out of my price range; untill I hit the Lottery. Link to comment
