  1. I had a friend try this a few years ago. He ate really high fiber foods for a few days beforehand and held it. He took a laxative a few hours before bed. I don't remember exactly what happened except it wasn't a great experience because he woke up with bad cramps then had an accident soon after ?‍♀️
  2. I do, some months more than others. Sometimes I don't plan things out well and sometimes I just don't make it. A few weeks ago, I was going to use the toilet after work before the long commute home (even though I didn't have to go) but a coworker started chatting me up and asked for a ride home. I thought I'd be okay but I felt the urge after I dropped her off and couldn't hold it until I got home. Nothing embarrassing or messy happened but I really don't want that situation to happen while someone else is in the car even if I am diapered. Last week, I was doing laundry in the basement without a diaper on. I felt the sudden urge to go and ran upstairs. Before I could get to the bathroom, I had wet and messed myself...
  3. I'm bowel incontinent and I've only ever been constipated a few times in my life since I almost always have diarrhea. One of those was in preparation for a music festival. I decided that since we were camping, I wouldn't be using any diapers and would try to avoid the porta potties at all cost. Three days before, I started taking plenty of loperamide and eating low-residue foods while also taking some metamucil so my stools wouldn't be so runny. I only had one BM on each of these days and even managed to hold it while driving home from work. I tried to poop the morning we were leaving but got a turtle head. Over the next 3 days, I continued to take loperamide and didn't have any accidents. I tried to poop whenever I got to a real toilet like at a restaurant but never needed to go when it was convenient. On the third day, my stomach was bloated and really hurting. I tried to poop twice while we were there (once in a portapotty!) but nothing came out. I didn't take any more meds after noon that day because we were driving home at night. When we got home at about 8pm, I still couldn't go so I put on a diaper and went to bed early. I woke up at about 3 or 4am already wetting and messing. I couldn't stop pooping as I ran because my load got looser and looser. By the time I got to the toilet, I'd had a blowout up my back and down my legs. Then, I had to clean up everything that spilled on the floor when I moved to the toilet to finish up. There must have been close to a cantaloupe's amount of poop. I had to flush once after I stopped pooping and another time for dumping the poop in the toilet which clogged because there was too much to flush. It took me over an hour to clean up before I went back to bed, but woke up 1.5h later with urgency and didn't make it to the toilet. That day, I got to the toilet twice and had 4 more accidents (one when I was taking a shower and some unexpected diarrhea ran down my leg) before I gave up and just sat on the toilet for the evening. Super glad it was a long weekend so I had the day off.
  4. Do you find that you're more okay with having messy accidents because you're wearing, or do you still try just as hard to find a toilet? I find that if I'm having a period where I have a lot of smears, I'll wear a pull-up and still try to get to a toilet.
  5. Do you try to hold it at all, or do you just go in your diaper/underwear? When you do try to hold it, do you try to make it to a toilet or just for a more convenient time to mess?
  6. Yeah that's true. I carry wipes on me in case I have accidents outside.
  7. See if your work's insurance or something similar will cover part of the cost of a therapist. If you want a consistent and long term therapist, insurance is likely your only option. You can also try some online options like Better Help. Good luck.
  8. You're probably just not wiping well enough.
  9. I have periods of incontinence depending on my stress levels at the time. I'm more bowel incontinent than I am urinary. I made a dozen cloth diaper covers with 3 dozen inserts several years ago (some old tshirts and stuff were used to cut down on cost) for just over $140 by borrowing a friend's sewing machine "to mend some clothes" and practicing on scrap material from Value Village. They've lasted well because I don't wash them too vigorously, but also I only need them for about 2-8 months a year. Hope that helps with the cost thing, though money for diapers is definitely a consideration for training yourself to be incontinent.
  10. I just had an "accident". I was just walking home when my stomach hurt a lot. I wanted to make it home because it was diarrhea but I could barely walk. I ended up going to a less busy street and letting go while running home. Most of it was contained but some leaked and ran down my legs. Now I'm squatting in my room trying to finish before I clean up in the shower.
  11. I'm bowel incontinent and have accidents all the time. Usually, I have a few hours until I have to go again after I use the toilet. Last week, I pooped before leaving to run errands. Less than an hour later, I felt the urge at the grocery store and walked quickly towards the bathroom but didn't make it. I had a really loose accident down the back of my leggings and wet myself at the same time. I sighed and drove home.
  12. Oh boy, I have so many of these. I've experienced some level of bowel incontinence with extreme urgency for my whole life with some periods of urinary incontinence. I enjoy pooping my pants but on my own terms rather than messing unintentionally. For this reason, I absolutely dreaded my senior prom. I took a loperamide with metamucil before I started getting ready that day. I used the toilet before the dance started and had plenty of time to get there so I was feeling confident. The prom itself went really well but I made the mistake of going to the afterparty. Against my better judgement, I had a few drinks and was soon feeling a bit tipsy. Around midnight, my bowels started grumbling and cramping. I asked my friend where the bathroom was and she pointed upstairs. When I stood up, a small turd slipped and I panicked. I ran upstairs and knocked on the door but heard someone throwing up. As I knocked frantically, I started messing myself right there in my prom dress. It was the largest BM I'd had in a long time because of the metamucil, and I usually poop several times a day. I gave up after a few minutes and walked home in shame.
