I had an aunt who took care of me when I was sick and mom was at work. She always took my temperature rectally and I always had to lay over her lap with my pajama bottoms off.

I often found myself laying naked over mommy's lap either getting my rectal temperature taken or getting an enema using a small bulb syringe. I was a timid lad and didn't make too much of a fuss. When I got too big for mommy's lap, I had to lay over the toilet bowl getting an enema.

I remember having to lay naked over mommy's lap and taking my rectal temperature - up until age 7 or 8 because I was too big for her lap so she took it while I laid on my stomach on her bed. I was cool with it - it felt so good.
