I love PE disposable nappies and I feel like I could never switch to cloth/reusable ones, firstly: they look and feel divine and secondly: I live with two house mates who don't know I wear and washing the would be awkward. However, I do feel a some remorse over how much waste it generates, I am aware of the fact that single use plastics have come under fire of late due to their environmental impact. I don't think anyone deny how devastating it is to see wild animals on the tv with stomachs full of plastic bags and other plastic materials, but I love wearing nappies and wetting/messing myself. I can't help but wonder: Are the days of PE backed nappies numbered? Are we going to wake up one day and find that all the ADBL stores have stopped selling disposable dips?

Yeah this is a bad idea, you're kinda putting your health at risk a bit here. Not sure what there is to gain from this.

I started wearing a couple of years back at the age of 31 after years of just being semi-content with viewing photos & videos on Tumblr/Instagram of the fairer sex wearing nappies, wetting and messing themselves. My previous job as a carer enabled me to pilfer the odd Molicare or two from my place of work and I managed to coax some of my colleagues into wearing too but it wasn't until recently that I plucked up the courage to order cases of my own adult nappies and in that time I picked up a few tips and tricks that I found useful which I kinda wished i knew when starting out. 1. Electrical tape is an effective albeit an inelegant fix for broken nappy tabs. Wilkinson and many other places sell this. I prefer medical brand nappies to ABDL brand ones specifically 'DryLife Super slips' as they're one of the cheaper brands (apart from ID Expert which they've ruined with their product update and I'm still quite bitter about) however, Drylife are mainly white with a wetness indicator and I really really like the texture of the super shiny PE backing however they don't have the landing strip so you aren't able to fasten multiple times hence why it's good to have the electrical tape in the unlikely event of messing up one the tabs. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Drylife-Slip-Super-PE-Backed-Large-Pack-of-15/323003028589?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 3. Stock up on baby wipes, plastic bags and refuse sacks for cleaning up and disposing of used nappies, if you're in the UK, you get packs of 4x pampers baby wipes and strong black plastic bags from Wilkinson or cheaper baby wipes from Lidl, Lidl also do some really good heavy duty bin bags. 4. Get a nice decorative, collapsible fabric storage box to keep your nappies in. Best to take them out of the pack and let them breathe for a while, I got mine from 'Trago Mills' but they only trade in the West country and South Wales though I'm sure most home hardware stores have similar items on sale.
