  1. Boo! Patience isn't fair! Seriously, it was a good chapter, though totally expected that something would go wrong. Interesting to see what will happen next.
  2. I'm trying to make up my mind on Charlotte. I mean, she comes across well, but she is also someone who could seriously cause major issues without a second thought. But thank you for the bonus chapter. Interested to see how the filming goes, since film is a passion of mine (in this dimension at least lol).
  3. What school would this be at? I would like to check into the facts, because all the fact checking I've seen (including from the state level in MN) says that there is no school anywhere in the state that this actually happens. If it does actually happen, I would love to know the name of the school because I'm sure it would be all over the news and confirmed as fact.
  4. Hi there! I am around that area regularly, though I don't actively participate in much outside things.
  5. I'm trying to decide how I feel about Mackenzie. I do find it interesting that she mentions her aunt was a student at the same time as Connor's mom.
  6. I would disagree in general. Sergeant Majors are normally E-10s and have well over a decade of experience and are generally the cream of the crop of enlisted personnel, at least from my experience dealing with some in my past. And they typically carried more weight than a newbie lieutenant would (as the saying went in WW2 for instance, the real leaders of the units were the senior noncoms, more than the officers). I mean, just look at Easy Company of the 506th Parachute Regiment during WW2 if you want an example of that historically. The story is intriguing, interested to see where it goes.
  7. One of my pals at Halloween Haunt would do that whole speech about the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch while he was stalking people in the dark in our maze...
  8. Oh my! Five DOZEN people? Wonder how that is going to affect things for Aubry going forward. And I am of two minds about Cam...one I want to see him win and be an adult again, but the other I want to see her be a sweet toddler girl with her mommy. Hard to choose which one is better.
  9. Interestingly, I had an 'exchange sister' from Chemnitz when I was a little one for real and an 'exchange brother' from Eibenstock too...
  10. I work for a German company here in the US (and in a right-to-work state on top of that) and it can be confusing. Essentially, throughout most of the US, you can be fired for any reason and have no way to contest it truthfully because of the right-to-work laws. That being said, the US justice system is flawed but has a tendency to in some way self-correct at times. It just takes a while in certain locations because they want to maintain the status quo. Which is why I can definitely see the judge in this case waiting for some of the circus to die down before he puts out his verdict...while we aren't as stodgy as the English (who still wear wigs in court or did last I checked), the dinosaurs still want to maintain things a certain way.
  11. Wow! This chapter is...well, I am having trouble sitting still. I am not sure I want to try and guess where things are going because things have been veering away from what I think every time I try.
  12. You mean we have to wait all day too??? Bah, you're a meany head!
  13. Yay! So happy to see a new chapter. Please don't be gone so long again!
  14. Wow! Talk about some close calls. I can certainly see a 'Dred Scott' decision coming soon though...
  15. I keep re-reading the parts posted so far and just looking forward to seeing if my thoughts will be borne out in the next chapter...but I love this story so far so I hope to see it continue as soon as the author is able to.
  16. Here, I did AP Algebra II as a junior in high school before doing Calculus. But I hated math with a passion after I finished up with Geometry.
  17. I was thinking the same at first Babypants (since I also did Algebra I when I was 13), but then I thought about something else. It could be Algebra II, or they could be doing several types of math combined in the UK. Anyways, I feel for Scott, but I also like seeing how deep he is falling.
  18. Trying to patiently wait for more.
  19. Such a really good chapter. I honestly love Ivy, and I would probably be killing to have her as my mommy, if I went to that dimension. She's got the full range of Amazon and Human...and I love how she tries to keep a smile on Holly's face. Macey is one I'm trying to figure out, she seems to be caring and concerned, but she is definitely too blinded by society to even attempt a change. And I really liked the scene with the doctor who came around...I've met a number of people like that in life, and one of them is still one of my biggest supporters today.
  20. Been reading this story since you first started posting it...and still loving every moment.
  21. I just read this in one sitting straight through. Wow. I mean, I don't know what other word I can use. You touch on so many of my fantasies and dark desires, and it feels so visceral with every action Bree takes, whether they are good or bad. And each character is definitely far more developed than a a simple chapter or five could even develop.
  22. Actually, not quite accurate. As of 2018, the amount federal taxes levy against lottery winnings (above a certain threshold) is 24%. That has been verified as accurate by two people I know who deal with the IRS a lot more often than most of us. Then it depends on states as to a percentage the state takes (Texas takes 0%, Virginia takes 4%, etc.). For me, I would work with a financial planner to put money away and invest, I would likely buy a nice condo somewhere with cash, buy a nice (think top of the line) VW for a car, and focus on writing and doing projects I want. And try to enjoy myself.
  23. I am going to be working on more chapters, just have been delayed due to certain aspects of life.
  24. Yay! A trip to London! Now I want the fox kigurumi like I have in the story!
