First, let me say my heart goes out to all of you that have suffered the "no diapers in hospital" rule. I just spent 12 hours in the er with my 85 year old father. He requested a diaper and was told they didn't have them.So he laid in his urine soaked diaper for 12 hours. They handed him a pad, but unless he wore tighty whities, there was no way he could use it.My poor father was so humiliated. I'm almost sure that at least 50% of the people in the hospital are in so much pain, or can't get to the bathroom for whatever reason, and could really use a diaper. I would think that it would save the hospital time and money to use them. It just doesn't make any sense to me. I saw a post that claimed the hospitals don't use them because of diaper rash. REALLY!!!!!!!!
