I'm new to the scene; IRL I have autism and am struggling with a severe lack of social interaction or even opportunities to engage in them. As a result I get anxious when I go a long time without talking to people who understand me, and even a small slightly annoyed response when I feel needy can set off a downward spiral into a panic attack. Since I finally started accepting that I'm a little and that there's nothing to be ashamed of about it (though there's still some element of fear), I've gotten better--regressing for the first time left me feeling stress-free for the first time in ages--but I still need interaction. Hopefully, this community can offer the support and ability to feel safe about who I am that I need.
