  1. He isnt addicted in the "needs it constantly" kind of way; as I said before he is just one of those people when he drink a tiny bit too much he will not stop until all the alcohol available is gone or he is passed out and sleeping. He can rarely afford to drink like he wants because the only way he has the money is if our dad sends it to him, and nobody else is allowing him anything near that amount of alcohol. The only problem I have had with that is that 1. He has got too content with doing absolutely nothing and not providing financially for too long 2. He has lost the dog twice, and I'm 100% serious when I told him it CANT happen again; or he will be going to rehab or kicked out. I know it sounds like I'm more concerned about my dog and I kinda am, she is innocent (except for the crimes of being too energetic and giving too many kisses), and she costs a lot less than my brother, and she actually does a job (if she ever so much as barks it will keep bad people away)
  2. That is one of the perks of gigantic businesses like Amazon, they can usually write off replacements for lost/stolen items because it doesn't happen very often and there is usually enough of a profit margin to cover occasional losses. Now if an individual or a Mom and Pop store was selling something and they don't pay extra for insurance, and something is lost or stolen, they end up having to eat that expense (either as losing the money because of having to issue a refund, or having to lose another item because they choose to send a replacement in hopes of making that customer a repeat customer). I once had sent out a video game, it should have been delivered within 2 or 3 days, wouldn't you know it was lost for 1 month (or longer) and then by the time they tracked it down and gave it back to me I had to issue a refund because the customer had bought it as a present (for Xmas I think) and they had to buy the same thing a 2nd time from another seller; not my fault, but nonetheless it still sucks. But yeah, I hope the cops in a bunch of cities keep doing the same thing as the Jersey City cops to deter porch pirates.
  3. Apparently in Jersey City the police got a bunch of fake amazon boxes and set up a trap with GPS in the boxes so they could go directly to the porch package thieves and arrest them; one of them took the bait and took one of their packages only 3 minutes after it was dropped off. At least steal from Walmart or something, stealing packages from individuals, off of their porch nonetheless is just awful, and what if they aren't insured and the individual/family cant replace the contents?
  4. Last holiday season my older brother don in Florida sent us a bunch of technology ($500-$600 worth of stuff), and we never got the package; it was supposedly "delivered" at 1:30 PM on a specific date, but we never even saw the package; not sure if the delivery man or someone working for the delivery company stole it; or maybe it was delivered but the delivery man scanned it a while before they actually delivered it, and then someone stole it. It wouldnt surprise me if someone had saw the delivery truck, waited for the drop to happen and then stole it; but regardless my brother had talked to the delivery company and he claimed the insurance money he put on it. I highly doubt the thief that took all those packages had any clue some of them contained diapers though.
  5. Absolutely ridiculous, I believe if someone wants to wear and wet a diaper in the public, then they should go for it; but put something over the diaper (pants or shorts, or whatever as long as it is more than long enough to cover the diaper) so nobody has to know about it, purposefully showing off to see peoples reactions is unacceptable and makes all of us look bad.
  6. I'm still not sure quite what is gonna happ6in the near future, but I am trying to get things going in the right direction and have given him the compromise just once, if he can't mind the compromise (buy less alcohol so he drinks less and therefore shouldn't forget about my dog and lose her, for the 3rd time), then next step is no alcohol at all. And either way, he does need to get a job and that is why I keep taking away the power cables to my 2 TVs and the 2 portable video game systems, both things combined should start making him realize it's no longer have fun/party full time while I pay for all these Bill's and I bought Both TVs and all the 3 systems, and all the controllers and games; so he literally has no right to complain/say it is unfair.
  7. He is usually broke, he only has money to buy alcohol if my dad sends it to him, which isnt that often; so my brother is reliable more often than not because he doesn't have money for alcohol all the time and he ain't getting it from me or my mom. If my brother wasn't home (due to working) and the dogs trashed the house, oh well, the house can be cleaned (and no dogs lost) but as long as my brother is home and not going anywhere or doing anything he can be relied on most of the time to watch the dogs; and I told him, no more losing the dog, so he has to BUY less alcohol (that's the only way he can control it) or he will not be allowed to drink at all. And she is a White Furred Pit-Bull so if she gets loose people can get afraid and she will be caught and taken to Doggy Jail again, so it cant be allowed happen.
  8. The dogs cant be left outside, its NY and the middle of winter, and he is usually responsible, unless he is Tanked, which only happens if he has money, and I really don't have a choice in the matter as hes the only one not working. As far as getting him to not drink, that probably isn't gonna happen unless he goes to rehab and decides to actually stop drinking. But at least if he is broke he ain't gonna be able to get tanked for the time being.
  9. Well, there is some hope that maybe he will get his old job back, but hopefully they aren't just giving him the run around again. Also our mom came up with rules for him that basically include cleaning the house, taking care of the animals, and most importantly to not leave My Dog Loose unsupervised; he already did that and lost her twice; the second time my cousin found the dogs on the street and brought them back home. The 3rd time I came back from work and luckily my dog was staying at the back door. I don't know what I'm gonna do to my brother if he loses my dog again because he forgets, or gets too drunk, or whatever. I love my dog so much, she is a bit odd and too full of energy sometimes, but she is very nice with basically everybody, she just wants love and attention (basically all the time) and seems to guard the family, like she HAS to be right next to you, and she sleeps right beside me. Last time she got loose and I had to sleep without her I was so worried I could not sleep very good. The excuses are done and that is the #1 unbreakable rule
  10. Oh, I ain't buying his alcohol - not to say I never did in the past, but nowhere near the amount he likes to drink, in the past it might have been a few cans of beer in exchange for him doing a beer run , but that's it; far from enough to allow him to drink all day like he does when my dad sends him money (or when he had a job and was buying his own alcohol; even drinking at times BEFORE his work shift)
  11. I tried talking sense into him (not specifically about his drinking, more about being more serious about his job, which involves at least putting off the drinking to the weekend) back when he still had his job at Walmart; its literally like that saying "in one ear and out the other" , he would just keep drinking BEFORE work and messing around with his friend (whom worked on a completely different schedule) and playing games at their place, he wouldn't listen then so I doubt he is gonna listen now. And I bet he probably hates me for making it so he has nothing fun to do, but "tough luck" on that part; why should he be able to have fun FULL TIME while I'm working FULL TIME + I bought everything entertaining in the house, + Electricity, heating, and water are not free. I mean what's a guy to do? I think all I can do is make it so he has nothing to do, and maybe he will have a wake up call when he doesn't have any alcohol and has no way to have fun so long as I'm at work (which is gonna be 56 hours this week Monday Thru Friday), so he can have fun trying to have fun without games, media streaming, or TV.
  12. My younger brother hasn't had a job in over a year at this point (he had Food Stamps for a few months, so that helped us a little bit) ; and all he seems to want to do is things required to function at a basic level, and get Drunk and/or play video games all day and I'm getting fed up with it. I mean here I am trying to not only pay bills but hopefully have some spare money to save up (or spend on hobbies so I can enjoy myself and relax outside of work; I'm working on trying to balance enjoyment/hobbies and saving money, but it isnt gonna suddenly happen, I just got my (much better) new job about 2 months ago) ; and he is glued to Destiny 2/His phone/Media Streaming/getting drunk around the clock. So not only am I paying all the bills (along with my mom which is around during the week to provide transportation and she pays some of the household bills as well), but I bought both TVs, both the PS4 pro and the switch (along with a computer and 2 3DSs and games for that too), and all the games, and I pay for the media streaming services; so he literally has no right to any of these things, nor the power to make them work as I paid for all the devices and pay for heating and energy. No longer am I allowing his life to be a party in a house I'm largely paying for the bills of, he can be bored for (at least) as many hours as I have to be at work for all I care, he may not want anything out of life, but that doesn't mean he should continue being allowed to be lazy 24/7 and waste his life away having fun and drinking huge amounts of alcohol (I'm not glorifying Alcoholism in the least here). I mean what is a guy to do other than make sure he cant have fun doing anything so MAYBE he will gain some motivation to at least work part time, and maybe stop drinking as once he is past a certain part; it literally becomes a "point of no return" ; I mean he already woke up in the hospital after passing out before and even that isnt a wake up call. I mean it's pretty ridiculous I have to treat him like a little kid when he is not that much younger than me (having to be the mature one, pay for all this stuff and the energy and heating bills I already feel like an old man, I mean I kinda replaced the bills my dad paid at a young age (my dad isn't at fault, the divorce was my moms idea and it happened after me and my younger brother were both grown adults, and he still sends my brother money (not knowing it is fueling alcoholism which I feel like I will have to tell my dad because my dad was a drinker before and he stopped drinking and would maybe understand that my younger brother probably needs some tough love so he hits "rock bottom" and hopefully has a reason to stop this lazy alcoholic nonsense) as he still has that fatherly love and wants us to do good
  13. Got mine on black Friday (well Thursday Technically) I have Mario Kart, Mario Party (incoming), Disgaea 5 (multiplat but got switch version from out of town Walmart for $10, loving it), Mario + Rabbids, and Kirby Star Allies. Just got Switch Online because why not for $20 for a year? I just wish for Mario Party they did full online instead of just mini-games.
  14. Well, theres all kinds of TV Deals (from cheap TVs to really good ones), deals on Xbox and PlayStation, and the switch (regular PS4 is gonna be $200 with the new SpiderMan, Xbox One S bundles will be starting at $200, Switch with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for $300; which is the normal price with no extras) not to mention games, controllers, etc; and various other deals on electronics and more. It depends on the store and what you want, and some places are having the same deals early online, which is what I plan on (so I can pick up the stuff and get out quick).
  15. Idk if my dad knows as when I started we had young children in diapers around (I started around when my niece was born, so it wouldn't have been so clear then that I was using any diapers) , but eventually with no children in Diapers in the house my mom knew, she never liked it (I'm still sure she doesn't, but I think she gave up on trying to get me to stop it) and still likes to mention diapers sometimes (questioning me if I'm wearing one, even when I'm not) and feels like pointing out how I walk different at times (which happens to be the few times I wear a diaper when I'm out of the house), even though I don't care and nobody else asks if something is wrong with me (because I "walk funny" or whatever). It's sort of like the classic "waddle" you get with thick/wet diapers, yeah it's a bit different from your "regular walk" , but if you aren't actually hurt I dont see why it is important to bring it up any more than when my Grandma (who is a Hypocrite, acting like a Christian but being racist and judgmental to people that are different, like if they are black or gay or anything like that) has to say something like "I think the waiter is gay" (when we are at a restaurant) , it's like "so what, he is still a human, it doesn't really matter".
  16. Anyone go out on Black Friday? I'm hoping that I can grab a Switch early (6PM on Thursday for Walmart) to grab one and a cheap TV to set up in a spare room, I've been out for the last 2 Black Fridays, but both times I bough cheaper things and they had plenty of stock of what I wanted.
  17. I was able to log on up until around midnight or later in Saturday, but all of sunday after I got up until now it has been down, dont know why though.
  18. So I had placed an order with WearingClouds because I was really wanting to order PeekABU, but also ABUniverse is sold out and not knowing what size to order i went to WearingClouds, and ordered a bunch of samples (I think 9 or 10 different diapers) and it arrived in only 2 days. Of course ordering samples is expensive and it was close to $50 for the samples + shipping, but hey if something is hard to get/out of stock and you need to find out what size to order it is absolutely worth it. I test fitted the size Large PeekABU (they seem to only offer Mediums and Larges, so I ordered Large as I thought it might fit good) and it fits pretty good, plus I'm starting to lose a bit of weight so that helps (but I'm not gonna lose so much that I would fit into a size Medium PeekABU anyways, so ordering Larges will be safe), and I will have a full weekend to test the absorbency and also try another different diaper or two. So it will be a nice weekend.
  19. I'm at the lower end of Large, so could I really just go with a Large? I guess it kinda makes sense since Larges already seem plenty roomy a smaller Large should still fit good, the only problem seems to be that PeekABUs are insanely popular right now and out of stock.
  20. How many if you have tried recent batches of PeekABU, how do you find the sizing? It seems the sizing issue isn't as bad as it once was (I hear it's about half a size smaller than other ABUniverse Diapers, compared to a full size before, but I think that's because of Tab/Tapes placement), and I really wanna put in an order for a case of PeekABUs and the Hats. These days I strictly wear size Large (used to be towards the upper end of Medium, but a few inches added on the waist budged me up to the lower end of Large), so I'm thinking of ordering size XL so the smaller fit should make the PeekABUs feel like Larges to me (Larges on me are snug when I put tabs Semi-tight, not tight enough to feel uncomfortable, just enough to feel very secure) So worn down lately and not been enjoying diapers as often as I used to, but I still Pad up from time to time and new better job means more money, so my exhaustion and not having as much time as usual is worth it.
  21. I have been asked a few times by my mom or younger brother, I think they both know anyways and I dont really feel like outright saying "its diapers", I feel like I shouldn't even be asked, I pay for a lot of the household bills (I have for years now) and i have my own money to buy things with.
  22. He should not only have to pick up roadside trash, I also think he should pay some kind of money to the Motorcyclist for the injuries they suffered and having a totaled bike. I really don't care if people want to live in filth in their homes (if they are the owners), otherwise there is no excuse for being such slobs in rented property or just using the world as your garbage can because it is apparently "so hard" to find a garbage can for these people.
  23. I'm sure most of us have seen a used baby diaper or two in random spots (grocery store parking lots, the beach, hiking trails, etc), in NJ they caught a man dumping loads of his grandsons used diapers near highways, even causing a motorcyclist to crash (minor injuries but the motorcycle was totaled). Apparently he is only being charged $1000 fine for dumping the loads of used diapers and seems to have done it for thrills. Idk why those parents cant at least put the used diaper in a plastic bag, tie it up and dispose of it a short time later. http://www.stgnews.com/news/archive/2018/10/24/apc-authorities-nab-suspected-serial-diaper-dumper/#.W9KZQPkpAwB
  24. There is a huge difference here, any Adult Diapers available in the majority of stores are gonna be much thinner, less absorbent, and probably not fit secure or feel very good (dry or wet), I have pretty limited experience in what stores have. but if you want something worth buying that can provide a good fit, feel good (wet or dry) and also absorb a lot you at least have to go up to a decent medical style adult diaper (think something like Molicare or Abena as the starting point, theres also Dry 24/7 (also NorthShore Supreme), Seni Quatros, and then you have the medium to high absorbency ABDL diapers)
  25. It really is great that the OP took the cat in, I have always loved animals and always had cats and dogs (plus various other animals at times) in the house, the most cats we have ever had was 5 at one point, some have been strays and we currently have 1 stray cat that is Orange and White, ever since my 1st Orange and White cat (which I had from when I was a young kid up to when I was a young adult) I just love that color combination. We have 4 cats and 2 dogs right now and i simply love every one of them and try to give them attention and talk to them and pet them a lot, animals like cats and dogs are just so great with lots of love to give to their owners and I hate it when bad things happen to good animals, but you cant save them all; you just gotta do a little and take pride in knowing you are helping with the situation animals are faced in, even if it is only a little. Hopefully someone from your friends family can take the cat soon and I hope the cat isn't too traumatized from their owner dying.
