  1. Best I've found is Abena Abriform link here http://www.dorset-nursing.co.uk/search.asp...price=&pg=3 Other choices are attends available direct from attends (Just do a google search but I think its www.attends.co.uk Another firm that do a few different makes are burcare medical http://www.beaucaremedical.co.uk/?pid=display&cat=14 The worst option is Tena which you can sometimes find in branches of boots. If you need any more help feel free to email or pm. Dave
  2. I prefer the feel of cloth but like the convenience of a disposable. So I use both lol. Disposable for going out and cloth at home, though sometimes use a disp at home purely for easy movement.

    New Here

welcome to the site sit back and have fun, there are some great people here from all over the world.
  5. I can sympathise with you as thats what got me wearing, unfortunately when mine blows it tends to do it at night and I wake up covered, diapers really make clean up so much simpler.
  6. To answer a couple of your questions Yes he would note it in your records, he is obliged to if you tell him. Only a treating physician can look at your records unless you authorise a disclosure, for instance for insurance purposes or as part of an employment check, though in these cases doctors are entitled to remove any non relevant material and often just write a report that contains key relevant facts to the enquiry. Some of the test that would be done routinely on someone reporting a loss of continence: Rectal prostate exam Urine analasys for infection and diabetes Blood tests Urine flow test (you pee in a machine that measures flow spped and volume) Ultrasound of bladder and kidneys. X- ray of lower abdomen Camera insertion and inspection of bladder and uretral tract. This list is not exhaustive but would form the starting point of any assesment. Having said all that I wore 24/7 for six months without experiencing any greater loss of control than a little leakage when the bladder was full and an increased frequency of emptying with a greater sense of urgency. so you should still be fine for not wearing on occassions when it is necessary. A small pant liner can always be explained away as having a bit of a dick tummy and playing safe or a sligh kidney chill from sitting in a draft.
  7. I used tena and they are quite good, also good are attends and I am about to try the abena range. You could try adult pull ups , available from most boots and some asda branches, for some reason people find these more acceptable than full nappies. If you think she can handle the truth then why not just tell her, it would certainly make things easier, you may want to play down the sexual angle and talk about stress relief or IBS or something along those lines. Your only about 20 miles from us, do you know Patsy from Patsy publishing as he is up your way ? Dave
  8. Well I am ten years older than my mummy / other half but I dont think it makes any difference. we looked after a baby one (as mummy and daddy) who was 15 years younger than mummy and it worked ok so I dont think it actually makes much difference.
  9. Hi nice to see more new people especially from the UK, like you I am lucky enough to have a wife that is happy with it. Like you I see no moral problem as what we do harms no one, in fact I think in some ways it makes us better more caring people and perhaps motre tolerant of others differences. Always happy to talk to like minded genuine people. Baby Falan
