  1. Here's some old British adverts for pads. They don't say there are for incontinence, but I'm sure a lot of them were used for it. These sanitary knickers were probably also used for incontinence as well as periods/
  2. Just seen that and I like it. More descriptive than the adverts in British newspapers. They would have a drawing of some pants under the heading of incontinence. Not much information.
  3. These days they could be wearing disposable adult pullups. Make the carers job much easier.
  4. What company was this? Do you have a copy of the advert?
  5. These days in the UK ladies incontinence protection is sold everywhere. Tena Lady, Always Discreet and Supermarkets own brand. But what did women use before these were generally available? Growing up in the 70s and 80s in the UK I remember seeing various adverts for mail order incontinence pants in newspapers and magazines. I'd imagine stress incontinence from childbirth was very common then, so did ladies use extra thick sanitary towels everyday with plastic pants? Does anyone have any experience of what your mother or grandmother used?
  6. Hello Wetgirl. Keep the updates coming, I'm keen to hear how you get on.
  7. These days disposable incontinence pads and pants are very easy to buy, but what did incontinent women do before Tena, Poise, Depends were available? I know they could have used disposable sanitary pads, but what about before they were available?
  8. Have you all managed to shrink your bladder or become incontinent by relaxing like this? How small is your bladder now?
  9. I've read Doctors advice on incontinence on the internet and think it could be best to do the opposite of what they say to become incontinent or just have a very weak bladder. They suggest strengthening the bladder by holding for longer, and say going too often just in case can make the bladder smaller. How about going for a wee every half an hour and forcing out what ever you can. At night don't drink anything before bed so the bladder won't fill during the night. When you do wake have a wee straight away and go back to sleep. You'll need a nappy for bed. If you do this for a few weeks the bladder should shrink and you could try going for a wee every quarter of an hour to make it even worse. Once the bladder is very small you won't be able to hold it for long and risk wetting yourself. Now you need to weaken the pelvic floor muscles. When these are weak you can suffer from stress incontinence which means any stress on your pelvic floor makes you wet yourself. Laughing, coughing, sneezing will cause a leak. As soon as you feel the urge to wee relax your bladder and let it flow out. Don't force it out as you want to weaken the muscles and don't clench like you would to stop the flow. You don't want to exercise the pelvic floor. Over time I think you'll have a tiny bladder that can't hold much and muscles that aren't strong enough to stop the flow so you'll be constantly dribbling wee into your nappy. What does everyone think, would this work?
  10. Many members talk about making themselves incontinent, or a bedwetter, but I'd like to know how many have done it. Who here has achieved their wish of becoming urinary incontinent or a diaper dependent bedwetter? How did you do it and how long did it take? Was it everything you wished for and how does it affect your daily life?
