  1. MinnesotaWriter, I just want to thank you for a nice, slow-paced but amazingly well-written story. I only just now stumbled across this one, and simply had to read through everything you've posted of it so far, it was so enjoyable. I hope you have been able to write more of it, and that we'll be getting more of it soon. Even more, I hope you keep writing, finish the story and bring us more stories in the future.
  2. I get my inspiration from other stories, picking elements I like and trying to implement a variant of them into my story and making sure not to include too many cliches, though in a genre as specific as "people too old to be in diapers wearing diapers" some cliches are unavoidable(e.g. The person has a fetish, is being punished, is incontinent, is forced to for some other reason, etc.). Every writer has their own style. Some are simple stories with complex characters, some are complex stories with simple characters, some are simple stories with simple characters, and some are complex stories with complex characters. Some include lots of descriptive details, others are vague and undeveloped. It all depends on the style you're going for, but just remember - Too many details makes for a tedious read, but too few makes for a boring one. My suggestion: Come up with a plot, read a few stories, pick one you like and emulate the STYLE of that story, but use your own plot.
  3. Need I point out how completely illogical it is to call a group of people "Adult Babies" when they only meet the first half of the criteria needed to label them as such? I am an adult, yes, and I act as one too. I cannot stress hard enough how utterly uninteresting I find the prospect of acting like a baby. Assuming all Adult Babies like diapers, as would be implied, as babies tend to wear diapers for obvious reasons, it would be a truism to say that all Adult Babies are Diaper Lovers, but not all Diaper Lovers are Adult Babies. It really is that simple, and your opinion does nothing to alter that fact. Apologies if this message is coming off a bit impolite, but I dislike being labeled as something which I can say for certain I am not.
  4. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with you on that. I am simply a Diaper Lover, no more than that. I have no interest in bottles and onesies or pacifiers and mommies. I have no interest in ageplay or babytalk, crawling or crayons, just diapers and their use. Please do keep in mind that the AB/DL community, like any other demographic, is essentially never black and white. There are, I'm sure, quite a few people who consider themselves to be AB's, when they just like to wear onesies or eat baby food while wearing a bib. Likewise, there are most certainly people who self-label themselves DL's, who enjoy the occasional bottle of milk or some other thing. While there are those at either extreme of the spectrum from AB to DL, where the AB's drink from bottles, wear bibs, talk in fragmented speech, sleep in cribs, crawl on their hands and knees, etc and the DL's are simply grown folk with a pentient for padded posteriors, there is a vast landscape between the two that many explore, but they cannot all be called the same thing.
  5. I...like this story, but at the same time wish there was a bit more going for it. It's well written, make no mistake about that, it just seems...somewhat generic. I'm not trying to insult, really I'm not. I like the story, I do, it just seems like it's missing something. This last chapter was perhaps one of the better ones, as it finally introduced the concept that diapers aren't a usual choice of undergarment for adults.
  6. I began writing another story which was faily similar to this a long time ago, but I must say, I like yours better already; yours has left a lot more room for development than mine did, which was the reason I abandoned it in the first place. Please keep this story going; it is a rather interesting read.
  7. I couldn't agree with you more. I am an atheist and cannot understand why a fundamentally religious institution, such as marriage, has any form of legal grounding. So far as I'm concerned, marriage/civil unions should be for everyone or for no one.
  8. I reconcile this choice by getting up to go to the bathroom, but relaxing control as I walk. Given my bathroom is right next to my bedroom, messings are rare...but not unheard of. O.o
  9. I buy diapers VERY infrequently, and when I do, they last me a long time because I'll usually wear one every couple of weeks. When I do wear one though, you can bet it'll be used before I take it off.
  10. Good idea. When I've written 5 chapters, I'll post them up one at a time. That way, while people are enjoying the pre-written ones, I can(hopefully) gather some constructive criticism, tips, etc. Meanwhile, I can work on the following chapters.
  11. Provided I can get around to finishing my stories, I will do just that.
  12. Ah, thank you for the advice. I do tend to write for myself mostly. Heck, of all the various stories I've written, many of which have been lost due to broken flash drives or fried hard drives, not a single one has ever actually been posted online. Oh, and perhaps I should have clarified a bit when I said I write long stories. I suppose I should have said, "longer than average." More often than not, if I were to copy a story to a word document, it may be 5-10 pages long. Perhaps I shall have to take a peek at your stories, as I usually like longer ones.
  13. Ok, I'm new to this board in particular, but I would like everyone to know that I am a writer. I tend to write extremely long stories, which usually end up being about 30 pages long. Yesterday, I began writing a story called, "Baby Bailey Bruhn" which deviates from my usual style in a few important way. First, I typically only write stories with one crucial character, who is then supported by the other, less important characters. This story will, after initial plot details are worked out, have three "main" characters. Obviously Bailey Bruhn, the titular character, will be the most important, but not the only important one. There may even be several pages in a row where she isn't present or even mentioned. Second, and perhaps more importantly, the character is going to slowly progress from being simply diapered to being an adult baby. Whether willingly or forced I havent decided. The point is, I've never done an Adult Baby story before, as I've never had a lot of interest in that area of our community. What I'd like to know, particularly from our AB members, is what they'd like to see in the story. What is it about a story that makes them want to keep coming back for more?
