Look, you didn’t actually ask for my opinion, and I probably have no right to express it, but I’m going to do it anyway.
I absolutely love diaper dimension stories. However, my love comes with a few conditions. I can't stand it when they are written with atrocious grammar (spell checks don’t cost money) or sound like they're being told by an overexcited child who forgets to breathe between words. More importantly, I dislike stories that feel like the author is just masturbating to every single scene. That's actually why I don't write my own stories. If I did, that's exactly what would happen. There would be no plot, just smut.
For me, the longer stories are the winners. When a writer takes their time, it allows me to actually identify with the characters and get drawn into their world. I love the kinky scenes, but they don't need to happen in every single paragraph. Of course, I enjoy short stories and one-shots too, but simply stitching together a bunch of one-shots doesn't magically turn them into a long story.
It's also heartbreaking when a great story gets abandoned. I've stumbled upon years-old gems by accident that genuinely moved me, only to find they were left unfinished. Keep in mind that these stories will be read by people years after they are posted. I laugh with a crying eye when I find a masterpiece that was abandoned because the author thought the lack of feedback meant the story wasn't well received. That's one of the main reasons I finally registered for this forum after lurking for years.
I love seeing how different authors tackle the common tropes of the genre, like the typical trips to stores for littles or public outings. There are stories written just to get a boner, and then there are stories that make me genuinely excited or concerned for the characters. You can guess which kind I keep coming back to.
Personally, I'm a fan of vivid descriptions, and I generally dislike time skips. When I see a beautifully fleshed-out paragraph about someone's first diaper usage followed immediately by "a couple of weeks later," I actually mourn for the events we missed during those weeks. That said, some writers overdo it. Not every single second of a day needs to be described, and not every single movement needs to be punctuated every time by the crinkling of a diaper.
But that’s not something I would ever point out to an author. That's the author's discretion, and if the author feels pressured to change that because of me, it might end up killing the entire flow of the story.
As for being “just another” DD story, think about superhero movies. Everyone knows the origin stories of Spider-Man or Batman, yet we still love reboots and new interpretations. Hell, you could recreate the movies shot for shot with new actors, and I would still enjoy them. (But don’t do that, lol.)
I gonna make sure to read your story, but its now already 3:15am and i should be asleep since quite a while, guess its gotta wait until to tomorrow or this weekend 😝
