I may be the oldest childhood bedwetter here so that got me wondering- how old were you when your childhood bedwetting stopped? PLEASE NOTE that this question is only for those who did eventually stop involuntarily bedwetting while not being under the influence of anything that may have affected your bladder control such as medicines or alcohol Also, this doesn't include one-time bedwettings that happened after you considered yourself "dry" at night, as almost everyone has bedwetting accidents once in awhile throughout life Please start with that age and add some thoughts about it if you wish The last time I wet my bed was when I was 22 (though it happened later many times when I came home drunk which doesn't count here). I've never had good bladder control, wetting my bed more often than not till I was 14 or 15, then tapering off slowly as I grew up. When I reached 20 I'd still wet my bed 2-3 times a month, sometimes several days in a row I didn't consider myself reliably dry till my bed stayed totally dry for about 6 weeks in a row when I was 22. I still wet my bed slightly a few times a year, and really flooded it once or twice a year over that for the rest of my life though I could generally count on waking up dry unless I'd been drinking the night before, in which case it was a 50-50 chance My persistent bedwetting is what got me back into diapers and on looking back I am glad that happened or I might not have rediscovered the joy of being in diapers once again Bettypooh

Set an ultimate, immovable deadline. If it passes, let her know the consequences of or lack of action or action will decide your actions and final decision. Don't waiver on this if it's 3 months or 6 months, when the time is up be prepared to move on with your life either with or without her. Jones Family Court 7 Susan woke Will up and checked his diaper. He was wet but not even close to capacity. She told him to get up and lead him to the bathroom she washed his face and hands for him. He was then led to the kitchen by Kate and buckled into the high chair. Susan prepared breakfast for Kate and Joan. She asked Kate to make Will a bottle of formula and some baby cereal and add formula to it. Kate prepared his breakfast and put it on the tray then tied a bib around his neck and gave him a baby spoon. Will now accepted his fate and ate the bland cereal and drank his bottle of formula while everyone else had pancakes, bacon, and eggs. After everyone was finished and the table was cleared Susan cleaned him up and let him down. She told Joan to take him and brush his teeth. Will started to protest but was given a pacifier. Joan removed his pacifier and told him to open his mouth and Kate helped her brush Wills teeth. Will knew his status now and accepted that he was not allowed any responsibilities. After that Kate took him to his room and dressed him to go out. She then packed a diaper bag and told Will to follow her. Susan cleaned the kitchen and grabbed her car keys. Kate led Will to the car and buckled him into the back seat. Joan got in the other seat and buckled herself in. Susan started the car and Kate took the front seat. They drove to the local department store and went shopping. The girls picked out some clothes for summer and Susan picked out Will some shorts, jeans, and shortalls. All had the shorts and pants had elastic waists. She took Will to the fitting room and made sure everything would fit with his diapers. She then picked out some larger t shirts. After the girls were finished they checked out and loaded up in the car. Will was buckled in by Susan. As they drove to the next stop Will was feeling his bowels rumble he asked if he could use the potty. Susan told him of coarse you are wearing it. He tried to hold it and beg at the next stop but his bowels let loose filling his diaper. Will started to cry. Joan was the first one to smell it and announced that Will pooped himself. Susan told her of coarse he did that what babies do and that is why he is wearing a diaper. Joan said it stinks. Susan said 5 more minutes and we'll be able to change him. They pulled into a neighborhood and then parked in front of a house. Kate got Will out and Susan grabbed the bag with the t shirts and shortalls. Then the four of them went to the door and rang the door bell. A lady answered the door, welcomed them, and let everyone in. It was Susan's friend Lacy. Lacy led them back to her sewing room. Susan told her before we get started Will needs to be changed. Lacy went and got a towel and said they can use the empty work table in the corner. Kate put the towel on the table and told Will to hop up. She then performed the diaper change like an expert. Will was let down and Lacy told her excellent job on such a big mess. Joan went and disposed of the soiled diaper. Now Will smelled like baby powder and wipes. Something he did not like at all about his situation. Lacy told Kate to keep his shorts off until they were done with measurements and go ahead take his shirt off too. She took one of the t shirts and put it on him. She then took the bottom of it and checked how it would fit and were to make cuts and seams for his new onsies. She said they will be easy to make. Then she took the shortalls and said no problem we can add snaps to the inseams. She then told Kate to dress Will. Lacy and Susan went to the kitchen and discussed a price. Susan asked were her son Mark was and Lacy said camp this week. Susan then asked if he no longer wet the bed. Lacy said at least 3 times a week but managing it with good nights. Lacy then said still a little laundry due to them leaking. Susan then told her they have 3/4 of a case of the diapers Will started in. Lacy asked if they leaked and Susan told her she never had one leak yet. Susan told her they would give the diapers to her and Lacy told her consider that payment for the alterations. The four of them loaded up and headed to Dairy Queen. Inside Susan picked a table and looked at the high chairs. It would be a tight fit for Will, so he got a reprieve from that. She asked the three kids what they wanted. They all ordered the kids cheese burger meal. She placed the order and sat down with three cups and handed one to Kate and Joan. She then asked Will what he wanted to drink and he said Dr. Pepper. Kate and Joan got their drinks and sat down. Susan filled her cup and then filled Will's sippy cup. She returned to the table and handed Will his drink. He started to whine but when Susan pulled out the pacifier he stopped instantly. When their order was called Kate and Susan went and picked up their food. The girls started to eat while Susan cut Will food up in small pieces and put it in front of him with some ketchup. Will started to push it away. Susan then told Kate if he doesn't start on a three count to go get a high chair. She started three, two Kate started to get up and Will then picked up a piece of cheese burger and started eating. After everyone finished eating they loaded up in the car. He was buckled in by Joan this time and Will started to complain but Kate shoved a pacifier in his mouth. The drive home was uneventful. When they arrived home Kate unbuckled Will and led him to his room and removed his clothes leaving him in his at home outfit. Susan went to the garage and found his old tonka trucks then put them in the backyard. She led him out there and told him to play then removed his pacifier. Will thought at least we have a privacy fence. He grabbed his dump truck and started playing. Susan asked Kate to help her remove all Will's big boy items. They boxed them all up and put them in the storage closet. Then found his toddler toys and put them into his toy box and closet. Will now had another surprise. Will played with his trucks pushing them around the backyard. Joan came out and played with him. Will was actually enjoying himself. He could just play and not have to worry about anything else. Joan checked his diaper it was wet but did not need to be changed. They had fun but it was still hard for Will to accept his new position in the family. Susan brought Joan a glass of lemonade and a sippy cup for Will. They both drank their lemonade and Susan told Will to come to the porch so she can put some sunblock on him. She wiped him down with a baby wipe then applied sunblock on his entire body. Kate came out in her bikini and laid out in a chase lounge. Will and Joan continued to play. While the kids were outside Susan prepared dinner. Will had a little reprieve today but dinner would be baby food and formula. While dinner was in the oven she pick out his food and was nice to include a custard for desert. Susan called the kids in before Bill would be arriving home. She told Joan to wash up and help your sister with Will. Kate took will to the bathroom. Joan helped her clean him up and then the two of them cleaned themselves up. Kate went and changed. They went to the kitchen and Kate put Will in his high chair. Susan put dinner on the table just as Bill walked through the door. He poured a glass of tea and sat down. Susan put a bib on Will and served him his dinner while everyone else was passing the food around the table. Bill asked how everyone's day was and said he had a good day at work. Everyone ate as Will fed himself his mush and drank his formula. After he finished Susan gave him his baby custard. It was a lot better than the other baby foods. After dinner Kate went over to Shelley's house and the rest of the family watched TV. At 8 PM Susan took Will to bathe him and asked Joan if she wanted to help. She did and the two of them bathed Will then took him to his changing table and diapered him then tucked him into bed with a bedtime bottle. At 9 PM she told Joan to get ready for bed. Joan brushed her teeth, put on her PJ's, and Susan tucked her in. At 10 PM Kate came home and went to bed. Susan and Bill called it a night and went to bed. The next morning Susan woke the girls up then Will. They ate breakfast and she went to get Will up then put him in his high chair with his breakfast. After breakfast Kate cleaned Will up then brought him to his closet and told him to pick out a t shirt. He picked a t shirt and Kate put it one him. He was now allowed to cover up more but his diaper was still on display. He knew that this would be his outfit at home until he was potty training. After Kate put his shoes and socks on Kate put sun block on both Will and Joan. The three kids went out in the backyard and played until lunch. Before going in Joan pulled the back of Will diaper to check and he was dirty. Kate and Joan took him back to his room and changed him. He didn't like being changed by his sisters but it felt better to be in a clean diaper. Susan had lunch ready and the girls are hot dogs and chips Will had baby food and formula. After lunch the three kids watched TV. A little while later Kate made lemonade for everyone. She and Joan had glasses Will had a sippy cup. They also had some popcorn and shared it with Will. Bill came home before dinner and saw Will then said you are behaving better I see you earned the privilege of wearing a shirt. Keep it up and you might start potty training before school starts. The evening went pretty uneventful. They ate dinner, watched TV, and then Will was bathed, diapered, and tucked in. He was starting to accept that if he corporates he earns privileges back but he didn't like Joan brushing his teeth and helping bathe him. The next morning Susan got everyone up and fed everyone breakfast. Will ate his usual cereal with formula and a bottle of formula. He was also given som banana slices, which he actually appreciated. After breakfast Kate put Will's socks and shoes on. She put sunblock on Will and then went to her room to put on her bikini and tanning oil. Joan waited for her friends to come over while Will played with his Tonka Toys and Kate tanned while listening to the stereo. Joan's friends arrived. Shelly had come over too. She joined Kate tanning after removing her shorts and shirt. Will thought they may have less clothes on than me but get to look grown up unlike my thick diaper bulging around me shining bright white telling anyone who see's I am a baby. Joan and her two friends Ashley and Mandy joined everyone in the backyard. When the two girls saw Will they laughed and asked why Will was wearing a diaper. Joan explained everything to them and they laughed. Ashley then asked Will if he needed to be changed and Will started crying. Kate went and got his pacifier and put it in his mouth telling him to keep it there until one of us removes it or you will lose the privilege of wearing a shirt. Will did as he was told. About 30 minutes later Kate went to the kitchen and got lemonade for everyone. All the girls got there cup and Will was given a bottle. Kate handed him the bottle and removed his pacifier. He drank his bottle and handed it back to Kate and asked if he was going to whine anymore he said no. She then told him the first time he whines the pacifier goes back in and it will be baby bottles for the rest of the day. Will decided not to let the laughter bother him and played with the girls. Kate asked the girls if they had there bathing suits and they said they did. She set up a sprinkler and an inflatable pool for them to play in. She asked Will if he would like to play in the water. He said sure. She told him he could play in the sprinkler but not to sit in the pool because of his wet diaper. She removed his shoes and socks then his shirt. Leaving him in just a diaper. He didn't mind now it was already on display. While the girls got their bathing suits on Will start to play in the sprinkler. Running through it and just standing letting the water cool him off. Susan put sunblock on the girls and they joined Will playing. They played for 45 minutes and then Will ended up filling the back of his diaper. The girls smelled and said ewww. Joan yelled to Kate will has a dirty diaper. Kate went and got Will his diaper was swollen up to the point of almost busting open. She told the girls to continue to play and the three of them got in the pool and splashed around. Kate brought Will to the porch and laid out a towel the told him to lay on it. She went inside to get a diaper, wipes, and powder. Shelley tickled Will and Kate arrived with the supplies. The two girls expertly changed him into a dry diaper then put his t shirt, socks, and shoes on him. Susan yelled out the back door for everyone to get ready for lunch. The girls came in washed up, dried off, and put shirts on over their bathing suits. Susan had pizza delivered and all the girls sat at the patio table. Shelly placed the high chair by her seat and secured Will in it. Susan cut two slices of pizza into small pieces and placed them on the tray in front of Will then put his bib on him. At least the girls were not paying attention. She then gave him a sippy cup of lemonade. He finished his pizza and was given some baby food puréed carrots. He ate them then some baby cherry vanilla pudding which was actually good. After lunch Susan told Kate to get Will dressed. She dressed will in a pair shorts and shirt. Susan told Kate her and Will were going to Lacy's to pick up Will's new outfits. Susan told Joan and her friends that Kate was in charge. The girls went back out and played in the water. Susan loaded up Will's first diapers bought for him. Susan buckled Will in the back seat then proceeded to Lacy's house. When they arrived Susan told Will to grab two packs of diapers. She grabbed the rest. Lacy greeted them at the door and told them to put the diapers in Mark's room. Then they all went to the sewing room. Lacy showed Susan all the onsies, the shortalls, and even a few pairs of pants. Susan undressed Will and put an onsie on him then the shortalls. Will looked at the pants they all had an elastic section added to waist and snaps to access his diaper just like toddler pants. He saw himself in the mirror. His outfit did look like a what a toddler would wear. Susan told Lacy thank you for the outfits and Lacy told her no thank you for the diapers. It will save he months of headaches and laundry. Susan took Will to the car and buckled him in the backseat. They drove to the store and picked up more wipes, baby food, and formula. Will was glad no one he knew was in the store. The cashier stared at him a little but didn't ask any questions. When they got home, Susan unbuckled Will and told him to go get Kate. Kate came out and carried some of Will's new clothes. She told her mom Will's outfit was very cute. Then she went to Will's room and put the clothes up. Susan removed Will's shortalls leaving him in just a onsie and diaper. The girls saw him and told him he looked cute. Will blushed and thought at least they are not laughing at me. All the girls cleaned up and got dressed then went home. Kate brought out the toddler Legos and let Will build with them in the living room. They maybe toddler size but at least he can still build with them. He played until dinner. He was strapped into his high chair and a bib tied around his neck. He was given his usual baby food dinner. At least desert tasted good. The week went pretty uneventful. Kate was doing most of the diaper changes with Joan's help. Will was getting used to being a toddler. On Sunday evening Bill told the girls to get their luggage packed. Susan packed Will's suitcase, diaper bag, and an extra pack of diapers. She also packed a bag with all his food, formula, and bottles. The girls brought their bags down. Bill packed everything in the car. The girls bathed Will, diapered him, and tucked him into bed. Will wondered how this trip to his grandparents would be wearing diapers.

According to my Mom and Granny, I was day dry at 30 months and night dry at 33 months. I was old enough to remember my 2 younger sisters being toilet trained. They wore cotton training pants for a couple of months between being diapers and considered reliably dry. Mom says she used the same system on me. So from then on I did not need diapers for bed until I reached puberty, at 12. That was when I reverted to bedwetting. From then on I have always worn diapers to bed.
